HI i save up all fabric, clothes etc till i have a few binbags then ring the people who weigh it and give you money i get 60pence a kilo and its suprising how it mounts up they take almost anything even old belts and school uniforms. It's all staring us in the face...we just can't see it!!!:T:rotfl:0

I have four of my grandsons who can decimate a pair of jeans very quickly so I always keep an eye out for jeans at a boot fair for patching their jeans. The zips are invaluble as jeans zips are a dreadful price to buy.My three youngest DGS like to have sewn up jeans legs to play-fight with in their trampoline.Cheap to make and they can't hurt themselve and cheaper than a pillow fight. The bra's I have a local charity place that took all my bras when I had to buy mastectomy ones and they are recycled into something else (not quite sure what)
nets are invaluble for all sorts of things.especially in the garden or in my case as I have large windows they go to my very broke youngest DD as her windows are a lot smaller and as her dogs loathe the postman they tend to shred her nets at times when he arrives and no ones in.0 -
just remembered you can also use nets to strain stuff like jam or gravy, obviously they need to be clean.0

Thank you all
, There are some great ideas here .
I love the idea of making a bag out of the jeans but i am totally useless with a needle and cottonso have decided on the easier option of making draught excluders for the winter, I will either put by the front door or the garage door (which is attached to the house and blows a gale in winter ).
I also love the idea of using the bra as hammock for the rats.....my son has ferretts so maybe i'll ask him if he want's my bra for them but i have no idea of his reactions to that :think:

Net curtains can be use for straining jellies (as in the jam kind) home made wine etc. Also good for holding oatmeal, garden herbs etc to swish around in the bath. Also good for containing a bath bomb if anyone gives you one full of glitter and you don't want to find shiny particles around the house for the next few years!. You don't need to be able to sew, cut a large square, encloose the bath stuff loosley so what's inside can expand and gather together edges and corners and secure with an elastic ban or very tightly tied piece of string.0
