  • just come to the end of reading your whole thread - you go girl!

good move (no pun intended!) on the house front - my in-laws have been divorced for over 20 years, & he still makes comments about the house & straightens pictures etc as if he still lives there - having your own place that is nothing to do with him is definately the way to go

loved the comment about your 'infirm ' parents, mine are 78 & 75, dad was here today plastering in the eldest sons room & & mum took my younger sisters 6 month boxer puppy out for a walk - for a hour & a half!

money saving is 1 step forward 2 steps back sometimes - the eldest is off to Uni in October & I've been trying to put some cash by as well as overpaying on the mortgage but, like you, just hit for a £300 vet bill - or as my DH put it, thats a third of the new TV gone.

been in a bit of a rut but you've inspired me to get back ebaying & doing more surveys, will also look into mystery shops

haven't MSE'd in a while but with Football on TV in one room & the eldest listening to another match on the radio in the other I've been relegated to the computer for the evening

hope your 'friend' will be a good 'un

I'm a bit of a DIY freak, Having now done 3 houses - so if you have any queries with doing-up bit, feel free to ask - passed Interior design course but couldn't continue because of family commimtments - had idea of setting up as local woman decorater etc, lots of 'oldies' like to deal with women - might come back to that idea when kids have flown nest

Afternoon one and all and how the devil are we?

Appraisal went well, got really good feedback and my boss is fully supporting my application for the promotion. Need to get the form in on Monday so will be preparing that this weekend :D

Ruby is getting better slowly although still very lethargic. She is back to the vets on monday and I am really hoping her temp is back down to normal. She is at least going out on walks now but is nowhere near as springy as she was. I so hope that comes back. The vet did warn me because she has been so ill it could take weeks for her to get back to normal.

DD is as wonderful as ever. HAs gone off to school for the afternoon in her red nose top and is full of it.

Have cleared another two bags of stuff for my Ex to take back to his place :T not much more to get rid of now. Next area will be the two lofts. I haven't been in them since we moved in so no idea what gems are up there. So could be interesting.

Feeling positive about moving still and I am using any spare time I have decluttering. I always thought I was quite a minimalist but have shocked myself with some of the junk I have kept. Lovely filling my wheelie bin and taking bits to the charity shop. Such a good feeling.

Not much planned this weekend. Have some more bits to get on Ebay and then will carry on decluttering ready to start decorating.
