Chin up Doodle-bug...it's a whole new year (and a whole new ball game) soon! This time next year things will all be sorted for the better, and you'll look back on things and think "Thank God that's all over"...but you'll still have all the great peeps you met on MSE to tell all about your new life!!!

    Hey hun,

Hope this wont offend you, but I know how that kind of day feels.
With recent events with me and DH, having the situation out in the open definitely open up the wounds again and I really wished I'd had more time to be ok within myself before it was everywhere.
However it does mean that the hurdle is crossed..... and saves you having to make the announcement to everyone, although Facebook wasn't the best way necessarily....

Big hugs to you though hun, and we're always here if you need a chat.

    Awww you never offend me.

A few hours later and I am a lot calmer but still annoyed at his insensitivity.

He has actually deleted his Facebook account now as he said it would then remove his comment from peoples pages. Damage limitation me thinks.

I think he does still care and at the end of the day I am the mother of his child so must count for something lol.

Just got back from swimming lessons and now have half an hour to kill before we go and see Father Christmas. Then it's off to my parents for lunch and then back home for some dreaded housework :o

Hope the housework doesn't get you down too much! I can appreciate wanting to put it off - we live in a lovely Victorian conversion. Perfect, apart from the fact that it has *three* sets of stairs, as it's in the attic/eaves :( My turn to hoover tomorrow!

Hope you're feeling a bit better about your ex - I remember feeling very awkaward after changing my profile on Myspace to single after a five year relationship ended.. I can't speak for him, but chances are he felt pretty weird about doing it too.

As a previous poster said, hug the puppy, bust the dust and I'm sure you'll be feeling more cheerful soon.

Thanks Edinburgher, feeling a lot more calm about it all today. I probably over reacted to be honest but I just didn't want everyone at work to find out like that. For one thing it's nothing to do with most of them. Problem is our work is full of people aged from 20-30 and its a gossip hot bed.

I really must get on with the housework but just checking the bank accounts first then I WILL get off the sofa lol

  • Ahh the joys of facebook... hate the thing now. I very rarely check it anymore as I was fed up of the 'Aren't you married yet? Haven't you had children?'... Erm no and that doesn't make me a spinster thank you very much!!

Sorry rant about facebook there!! :o

Don't think you over-reacted hun, think its hard when you're only just getting use to it yourself and then everyone wants to know what happened and asks you questions. It sounds like he didn't think it would have that effect either and probably regrets doing it... just a case of didn't realise the consequences!

Know what you mean about gossip hot-bed, I hate that theory that everyone should know everyone's business, I've always been a very private person.

Big hugs and glad you feel better about it all today!!! :grouphug:
