Sunday 23/11/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today I will:
  • check online banking
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • storecupboard lunch and tea
  • carry on cleaning and decluttering house
  • go to costco for work and check out price of turkey crowns, duck and salmon for myself whilst there
  • put some petrol in at cheap garage on way
Morning guys:D :D , freezing here this morning, we had snow at 4am but then it rained and all disappeared;) . Hope you all have a good day, hugs to anyone feeling poorly or fed up.
Off now to get some brekkie......... let the race to second post begin:rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Good morning all!

Wet and blustery sunday here so won't be going far today. Visiting the in-laws for 10 minute (any more than that and I end up wanting to kill them) and popping to a shop, but other than that a day indoors.

So here's my wish list for today!

    * Do any surveys that come in
    * Package up item sold on ebay
    * List some books on Amazon
    * Work out "to do" list for things to do before crimbo arrives
    * Cut little boys hair with clippers (saving £5 hairdresser cost)
    * Cut OH's hair with clippers (saving £5 barbers cost)
    * Check on-line banking

    Have goods Sundays everyone!

  • Very small, but I'll be buying a Sunday Mirror (£0.90 I think) to get some free toothpaste (worth £2.79) and there's apparently some free Harley Street Skin moisturiser voucher in there too (although you do have to pay P&P, not sure how much that is yet), so that'll do nicely for a christmas stocking filler :D
