We booked with german wings stansted to cologne £47 all in return
Going on 7th june to 17th june got tickets for 3 matches and awaiting results frm latest ballot. we are concentrating on west and south west germany area.
Booked hotel in mountain resort hotel near bonn with leisure facilities and golf course for the days off. £670 for 9 nights inc breakfast for single rooms. A car hire is costing £300 for the duration so not a bad deal overall considering hotels in cologne want £2000 for 9 nights.
Can i not wait for the finals to come around. All we need now are tickets for an England game but its not that important to us. we have been to other world cup finals and its more fun watching the likes of saudi arabia playing cameroon as we did in japan.
You have got to hunt hard to find reasonable prices for hotels and my advice is to forget the host cities and look further afield and drive in or catch a train etc on matchdays. i am not a camper but good luck to those of you who are in your search for sites if i come across anything i will post here.The best work is the cheapest as the quality remains long after the price is forgotten0 -

mastercard are the official sponsors of the world cup and as such have exclusive rights in the credit/debit card stakes,but there are other ways to get around this, as fifa also allow bank transfers,my own particular choice, and if you have a german bank account, direct debit to pay for your tickets,if youre lucky enough to get some that is!hope this clears it up for you.0 -

We are flying into franfurt hahn with ryanair. Manchester-Dublin-Frankfurt on the 7th jun(£39). Staying in a central hotel in frankfurt(3* premier £19pppn) for 5 nights and then making our way down to nurembourg by car(merc's are so cheap to rent!) where we have hostels booked. Then up to cologne (again in hostels). We are staying till we get knocked out so will just have to play it by ear from then on......0

Am I way too late for tickets or is there another round - what are the chances of just turning up and paying through the roof?Murphy's No More Pies Member No. 28 on hold0

In the current sales phase tickets are sporadically put up for grabs on a first come first served basis. I've been watching it for most of the day, and it's a hugely frustrating process. Most of the time it says no tickets are available, then you eventually get a chance to add some to your basket. By the time you get to the checkout you're told that the tickets you requested are no longer available.
I thought I had tickets for Australia Brazil at one point.::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::0 -
so is it just a case of checking everyday for tickets?0
