Maybe they shouldn't have promised it "within 2 weeks" of paying out then.
  • I have just rung Scottish Widows and they said the ISA rate is dropping to 3.1% next Monday, including those who have already set up accounts, not just new savers or new Icesave transfers.
Apart from that gloomy news, the guy was very helpful and confirmed they will accept a cheque from the current account + details of the Icesave ISA and we can send the certificate when it arrives.

Gulp, sharp intake of breath, small drink to steady my nerves and a nice seat. Not the 6% I opened it on. Still, they have been helpful and efficient so far. Just waiting for confirmation from FSCS and I'll be calling them to find out what happens next. I would have sent them a cheque with my application but having nearly lost money, I've no intention of having a cheque floating around the ether for a few months.

I know I haven't added to my ISA this year and I can provide statements to that effect but obviously Scot Wid want to see the letter from the FSCS before taking my money.

It looks as though it's 4.6% (including the 1.5% 12 months bonus) from today - not too bad in the current climate.

  • Happily people seem to be getting their money returned without too many hitches.:T
Some of those lucky people must by now have been reunited with their funds for two weeks.
I would really interested to know:

Has anyone received an ISA Transfer Certificate from the FSCS yet?

    Did the transfer go smoothly?

I got my second email on the 8th November and all my money paid into my account on the 13th November, however as we enter December I still haven't received an ISA transfer certificate from the FSCS! Starting to worry now, what can I do?

as already said a few posts back on this thread, we probably won't get them until late December - this is the latest info being given by FSCS...
