Feeling really evil now & considering doing a cut, paste and crop job on Kirstie and Krusty the Clown...0

Someone with dual citizenship either Irish/American, British/American or Commonwealth country/American and resident in the UK can vote in the UK and still have a US postal vote. I have quite a few half-American friends who live here or in Ireland who voted in the November election.
OH is a joint national, and I think has the right to vote in Israeli elections, although resident in the UK....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I think as long as you are a joint national to a country who has a postal voting system you can vote in either election. I officially can't vote in Irish election/referenda as we don't have postal voting. But I have left myself registered at my parent's house so if there is something I feel very strongly about I fly home to vote.0 -
what did she do wrong? shes a tv presenter thats all.
if you buy a house based on what a tv show says, your a bit of a tw*t anyway. lol. research research research...
these numptys always looking for a scapegoat... take some responsibiity for your own actions, and watch casualty or something instead. Just dont start performing surgery based on what you see on that show either.

No, not really. I guess you trust the guys in car show rooms and comet too?
She cannot tell FACTS and cannot guarantee anything, anyone with common sense should realise that, especially when its the biggest investment of thier life. Unless she is some kind of mystic meg figure? but no one believed her either...0 -

Other 'gurus' get it wrong too; Fionualla Earley, for example. Politicians are always getting it wrong. It seems entirely appropriate that the Cons are going to use her as an advisor.
Some time in the next year or so I'll probably buy another house. There will be people in the media and on here saying do/don't buy now /there / that (delete as appropriate.) In the end, it'll be down to me to choose, and no 'guru' can take that responsibility from my shoulders.0 -
Sorry but i really must say how completely immature some people are on this forum with stupid name calling.
Michael Fish said there would not be a hurricane-there was! Up to you if you want to believe and act on what is said.
I think people have to take responsibilty instead of trying to find someone to blame.
Ok-so people went out buying BTL-this put the price up is this really Kirstys fault?
People want the latest gadgets-these are expensive as many people want them so these are marketed at a high price-are all the people that go out and pay this higher price to blame?
I still think too many peple think it is their right to on a house-as far as i'm concerned-its not.
30 years ago my parents wanted to buy. My mum was a nurse an my dad an engineer. they worked all hours under the sun and saved for five years. this allowed them to buy a run down house with a toilet and a sink (not even a kitchen). They did not go out, smoke, go on expensive holidays and drink.
Today people do all the above then complain saying they cannot afford to get a depoisit together and but within a year.
Yea..the economy is seriously !!!!!! at the moment and some people are doing all they can. As far as i'm concerned some people are not.0 -

There wasn't a hurricane at all. The Great Storm in 1987 wasn't a hurricane, which is a tropical cyclone. The Great Storm had gusts of hurricane-force winds in some places, but it wasn't wide-spread. The storm was different from a hurricane in other ways. The rain, for example, is much heavier in a hurricane than it was in the Great Storm.
And he didn't exactly say that anyway:
"Earlier on today apparently a lady rang the BBC and said she heard that there was a hurricane on the way. Well don't worry if you're watching, there isn't." This is frequently quoted from Michael's evening weather broadcast on the 15 October, the night the storm hit. However Michael wasn't talking about the UK at this point and was referring to a story in the News.
"My remarks referred to Florida and were a link to a news story about devastation in the Caribbean that had just been broadcast. The phone call was a member of staff reassuring his mother just before she set off there on holiday!"
"I did broadcast saying 'batten down the hatches there's some really stormy weather on the way' - if the full clip is used all would be revealed."...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
