Newsreaders tell us all about the atrocities in Iraq, they don't tell people to go to down your local Quartermaster store, get some gear and join in.

Like I said in my original post, if people actually acted soley on what someone has said on the TV then they deserve all they get. Buying a house needs endless preparation and thought.

Strangely I don't think there are many people out there who bought a house just because Kirsty Allsopp said so. Most of you are just jumping on the bandwagon as us Brits do.

Now follow the rest of the sheep, off you go.

I think this is too complicated a concept for tonydee to comprehend. But at least you tried.

(Idea for a poll - who would win in a fight, Kirstie Allsop or Sarah Beeny)

OMG! Can I referee that one! Love the pair of them (and the other pair)

Well, if anyone buys based on what a telly presenter says, caveat emptor.

I love Kirsty and Sarah, and Kirsty isn't fat, she's just shaped like a proper woman not one of the anorexic bints we're forced to look at.

Well I appreciate that tastes differ - good job really! - but I really don't understand what the idea is of these poor girls starving themselves until you can count their ribs, then having a load of silicone shoved in to replace what nature put there in the first place

There is a happy medium, between being 30 stone and 5 stone, though!
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Absolutely, I'm not advocating making yourself ill by under- or over- eating. But talking of KA & SB, I think they're a very happy medium.

Although Beeny doesn't receive the opprobrium heaped on Kirstie, I'd maintain that her programme, though 'educative,' is quite exploitative in a different way.

It isn't just a happy accident that Beeny comes across all these nutters who, more often than not, refuse her professional advice. I believe the programme makers go out of their way to find individuals whose personality profile will make them liable to behave like that. After all, the more irrational the actions of the 'developer,' the more viewers feel both superior and involved as the blunders multiply. It all makes for more engaging TV and, until relatively recently, thanks to HPI, few people suffered......except the buyers, of course!

    No you're not ;)

Worst looking woman in the UK? Jodie marsh and Jordan fight for it IMHO.

Funny thing is, I see schoolgirls wanting to look like the latter rather than the former, worrying.

Absolutely, but neither SB or KA are anywhere near 30 stone. If anything they are just slightly overweight, quite normal in our society today.

Being of a certain age, I had to Google those two. Perhaps it's a bit early in the morning, but they didn't raise an eyebrow....or anything else!

I suppose they're slightly more appealing than Amy Winehouse, but that's not saying much, is it?
