Hi All
Well here I am again! I really should do some work - but I am addicted to this site -is there a forum for people addicted to the site? lol:rotfl:
Well, I have looked at my wages to be paid to me on Friday and including the balance left over from this week (bearing in mind I haven't made any additional payments yet) I will have about £97 to get me through next week.
So, budget will follow for next week - and I'll need to be stricter with myself than this week!!! :rotfl:
For some reason that I cannot explain I am finding it easy to knock £40 per week off my OD. So, my new plan (which may last a day or so looking at my current trend of changing my mind...) is to keep knocking the £40 per week of my OD and then when I get to a limit (haven't decided what yet!) I will stick a lump into my Egg loan and then start reducing the OD again!! (honestly! it does make sense in my head!):D Its the psychological thing of seing the OD go down!!
Anyway, enough of my ramblings - its lunch time, so off to eat my packed lunch!!
Have a good day!! :Tstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi Nat
Thanks for popping by!! You're right - I'm positive and its making an impact. I don't care if people think I'm tight anymore, afterall it was the 'caring what people thought and outliving my means' attitude that got me in my mess.
I read your bit about reducing OD, sounds like it makes sense to me!! Even if it is psychological hun!
I was sort of naughty last nightbut turned it into a positive, hadn't got anything out the freezer in the morning for dinner (got up late and was still feeling unwell!). Got stuck in MAJOR traffic on way home from work, and I have the startings of a cold. The best thing for my cold (I think!) is my quick make chicken stew - so on stopping at the Tesco garage for milk, which I needed, I did go for their already diced chicken £3.00(which for some reason was cheaper than the whole breasts). But I bulked up the stew with more carrots, onion & leek than normal, and have enough stew for two more dinners.
I like to think I turned a naughty of getting something I really felt I needed out of the blue (the chicken breasts for stew) - I still was MS savvy and ensured it gives me two more dinners!!!
Good to see you're doing well (and that I'm not the only one addicted to the site!!)

Good morning
Well..... Its Friday again - always a good day for me as its payday!!:T
Right, so...... having looked at what I get paid, and what I have to pay this week coming (until Thurs 11/12) I have an available balance of £96.00 (this is after I allocate £40 to decrease my OD - now at £720!!)
I reckon (yeah, we'll see) that if I withdraw £70 from the bank, that should do me for the week..... as follows....
Diesel £10
Cigarettes £13.98 (3 packs for the week?)
Food shopping £20 (my OH to match amount)
That will leave me with £26.02 in my purse..... I don't seem to have quite got the hang of this budgeting malarky yet, so I would rather have a cash cushion in my purse, rather than have to dip into my account. If (and thats a big if) there is anything left in my purse by next Friday I will knock this off the amount to withdraw for the week after (does that make sense?):rotfl:
So thats where I am!
Have had 2 NSD so far - should reach 6 easily peasily!:T
Have asked for and received Eagerlearners guide on daily clicks (well worth it if you are looking to make proper money from daily clicks!) Daily click balance stands at about £13.40!! :T
Keep going everyone!!!! Every day is a step in the right direction - even if sometimes you have to take a detour!! lolstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a good weekend so far? I am at work, so thought I would take the opportunity to update from yesterday......
A girlyfirend of mine broke up with her BF last night, so went to the cinema to cheer her up! That cost me £13.90 in total (didn't have time to make any salt popcorn before I went!) which came out of my Cash Cushion which now stands at £13.70 for the week. Lets hope nothing else crops up!! lol
Have a good one! :beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning all! Hope you all had a good weekend?
I had planned to go food shopping Sat afternoon, with a budget of £40 for the week. Then my OH decided he wanted to join me (very strange!) So I explained the aim of getting the whole shop for £40 and he seemed to think it was a good idea and also doable.
Well lets just say that we left there having spent £76. I was not happy, so sat down with the bill and worked out that if I had done it on my own, I would have spent £46. My OH increased the bill by £30!!! Loads of bits and pieces that he fancied.... that I don't eat!!!
So, lesson learned - in future go shoppin on my own!
On a better note, this whole looking after my money thing has definitely taken hold. I went crimbo shopping yesterday (not being at all organised, I have left it late.....again!). I was picking things up and looking at them, thinking do I want to spend that much, can I get it cheaper and then putting the item down again and wandering off. I quite like this, but it does mean that my crimbo shopping is not progressing very well.
Have a good week guys!!!! :beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi Nats
Sorry to hear about your shopping experience! That’s a real toughie… I went on Sunday – (just me). It was my second experience at having the list and not diverting from it at all!! – I managed it, didn’t get distracted by the ‘so-called’ deals! Think definitely better to go on your own next time hun! I spent £40 as well – but that just for me – but for a fortnight! So I’m getting there.
Maybe you could ask him to put in the extra money for the things he has you don’t like… might make him think next time…
Well done on the crimbo shopping!! Sounds like you did really well! :T Definitely go for a list… I’ve found by being honest with people, saying I haven’t got much money – they’re telling me a small token present they actually want!!
Here’s to a good week!! :beer:LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

I feel bad for berating my OH's excessiveness on the food shopping.
So, here is something that I think makes up for it......
We went crimbo shopping yesterday and when we met up (for the sake of our relationship we tend to shop on our own!) he told me he had haggled in a high street shop.... I was amazed, even more so as his bravado paid off and they gave him 20% off!! I think he just calmly asked if the product was in the sale and the sales assistant asked what sale. So he pointed out that there was a credit crunch and everyone had a sale on. He was offered 10% but tuned that down and went for 20%.
So, I do have to say "well done darling" (coz I'm not sure if I would have the balls to do it!!):beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Yay at your other half - and you weren't berating him hun!! (hence I put a wink;))...
Sounds like he's on your MS wavelength... just likes the food! Which I can't blame him... I like my food way too much!!LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never
