    2 quick things......

    1) Whilst contacting Egg yesterday, I noticed my Egg Money Acc was in credit by £12.52 so asked them to send it back to me. Just received a message saying the money is being transfered back to me.... best of all, this is FREE MONEY!! It was cash-back from spending on the card laast year and then interest on that too!!

    2) How do I price myself for this extra work????? Do I do an hourly rate, a lump sum for the whole amount or does it depend on how much there is? I have only done this sort of thing through a 3rd party before and have no idea how much I'm worth!! Its only my labour I need to worry about as any materials can go directly onto their account here!

Need to change my "looking forward to getting my payslip when I get home day" from Tuesday to Wednesday! :O( Don't like being disappointed every week, so if I aim for Wednesday and it comes on Tuesday it will be a nice surprise!!

Will update on the arty painting job later!!

  • Cant really help with your "how much shall i charge" problem, but good suggestion emms!! I would weigh up how long it is going to take you, how much you are going to enjoy doing it and how good you are. If your brill, dont be afraid to ask for a good price..........................;)
    December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Right! Yesterday I wrote a nice long post and our internet connection at work decided to start faffing around so it vanished when I tried to post it..... so here is a shorter summary!!
    • Ate my first home-grown radish last night.... bloomin lovely it was too!
    • Have the timber all ready to take home tonight so I can build my little veggie patch over the bank holiday! Mum has given me some runners and tomatoes she started for me!!
    • Egg have confirmed my 2 month loan payment for June and July. It increases my monthly repayments by about £3 and adds 2 months on the end, but as I will be over-paying soon, I'm not too bothered! Thats my OD almost sorted and also the second month set aside for car expenses (insurance and tax in October!) That will sit in my A&L savings account until required!!
    • Working tomorrow until 2pm. Usual rostered Sat so no extra cash there and not done any OT this week.:o Coudn't be bothered!! :D
    • Out to dinner tonight. A bit of an expense, but have the money to cover it. I know I am going to begrudge handing over the pennies though!
    • Painting job - the bit they would really like me to do is gonna take about 30 hours (think outdoor, walk-on snakes and ladders game, but with Alpacas instead of snakes!! - long story!) Only 6 weeks to fit the hours in and need to decide how much I want for doing it!?
    • Second ebay item was paid for yesterday, so posted that today. Am keeping a record of how much the postage etc actually costs me so I can get it back when I withdraw the money from PayPal (when its over £50 so I don't pay any more charges!)

    Thats about it for now.

The sun is shining here today and hopefully will stay this way all weekend!!! (fingers-crossed!)

sounds like you've got everything in order as usual, arty project sounds interesting. I've been asked to stitch something on a cushion for a friend to give as a wedding pressy and normally i wouldn't want to say no to friends but this time i don't think i have the time to do it well, and i've got too much else on so don't want to rush it and mess it up so will have to bite the bullets and say no.
I got my payslip last week so have done my accounts for next month, looks like i will be OD free at the end of June yay! I'm still really impressed at myself with this, as it's the first real debt from my list that i will have cleared, and i've been trying for the 10 years since i got one to get rid of it.
