I have decided that I need to run a proper spreadsheet!
I keep running my figures forward and it changes every time (pesky little numbers!) so I am going to do a spreadsheet, just for looking further ahead. Will still run my handwritten diary for the week to week bits.
Have a great day - am looking forward to seeing lots of updates from you monthly paid people!!
Will be back about lunchtime with my weekly budget!!!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Right!! Spreadsheet created!!
Pretty little thing it is too!
So using my shiny new spreadsheet, if I let my DD's and SO's roll as they are and stick strictly to my £60 a week budget for food, cigarettes, diesel and entertainmen then...... I will be permanently in the black on my OD by.......wait for it....... drum roll please!...... FRIDAY 24th APRIL!!There are a couple of little (toe-dips) into the world of a positive balance, but that is the big date.
Now all I need to do is stick really strictly to my spending allowance and it will all be ok!! I will need to move one of the payments to the household account though as at the mo in March it comes out the day before I get paid and although it's covered the next day it temporarily puts me up at -£680 odd. Hmmm. Must call HSBC but that will be Monday now.
Oh - anyone know where I put that box of old mobiles that I was going to cash-in online?? No? No I don't either! I sorted them all out about crimbo time and put them all in a box (all .... about 6 or 8 I think!) and last weekend could I find them? Could I hell as like!! They've gotta be there somewhere, just not sure where.
OK (as confirmed by new shiny spreadsheet!) the moment you have been waiting for all day.... my weekly budget!
I was under budget last week - but only coz I didn't buy step-dads b'day present. But I was only under by £14 (and not the £20 I allowed) as I had a bad day at work on Wednesday and gave into the whole drinking to relax psychie and bought an extra packet of cigarettes and a bottle of wine..... lovely it was too.;)
So this week coming, I will withdraw £60 to spend on diesel, cigarettes, food and entertainment.
I have £16.65 due to the car insurance people and thats it - apart from £25 to cover step-dads b'day. Was going for a £20 spend but then have something that my brother and I can go halves on and he will actually like rather than tosh.
Right its late and I'm going home! Things to do and people to see - oh and diesel to buy before I run out!!
Have a great Friday night all and I'll try and pop in over the weekend!!

Hi Nats!!
Fab on your April date!! I think a ‘shiny’ spreadsheet is the way forward!!
I stole the one from the link above – and am tailoring it a bit – but I think its going to help!
Nats – I think you must have put the box of mobiles ‘somewhere safe’… that’s where I put things and can then never find them!!
Hope you had a good weekend!!
