on the spreadsheets, how do you get each coloumn do add/subtract by itself??

Right (how do I explain this in writing?? ).... here goes.....

I think you are going to need to sketch this out to understand.... did try to import part of my own spreadsheet but it would not keep its format! (so a table, 6 columns wide etc as below!)

    column A DATE= date
    column B IN = wages
    column C OUT= DD's etc
column D OUT= DD's etc (sometimes more than one on any day and wanted to show them separately)
    column E SPENDS= weekly withdrawal
column F BALANCE= speaks for its self

We'll call the starting balance (from where everything is going to run from) CELL F1!!

To get to the new running balance in CELL F2, (next row down) the formula I have used is =SUM(F1+(B2-C2-D2-E2)) and this was typed into cell F2.
I have only used positive values in my spreadsheet - hence the B2-C2 etc.
It takes the starting balance and then adds/subtracts everything that happens on the next day) To get this formula to work all the way down column F (to give a running total) you can.....
Click on the cell with the formula in it (F2), drag your mouse down the column as far as you want to go (this should highlight the cells). Then go to edit, select fill and then down. This will paste the formula into each cell below and (hopefully) give you a running total!! I think this is the bit you really wanted!!

I hope this all makes sense? If not let me know and I will try again!

Hi everyone!! Just a quick message (not even time for smilies!!) to update....

Mobile phones are still safe in the drawer! A task for the weekend.

Have an unexpected day off work tomorrow as they need to re-sync the roster so will be at home.

Internet connection worked for all of 24hours.... we now have a new router and have even managed to connect the PS3 wirelessly!!

Not had time to do weekly budget, although I have withdrawn my allowance (well its got to come out anyway!). Had a quick look at the balance on the cashpoint machine so will update details later!

Spoke to A&L... they were'nt given the SO details by HSBC. Have decided that is due to the SO transfering money from one HSBC account to another!! I will have to manually transfer this over once I have notification that my wages are to be transfered. There is a letter going out regarding my DD's - the earliest these will start to change over is about the 15th March - so will just have to wait and see. There is something (somewhere) that says that they will not charge you for going over the arranged OD limit during the swapping over period..... so still in 2 minds whether to bother writing to up the OD limit or not!

Rags - Hope the spreadsheet works!!

Have a good afternoon all - this afternoon I am mainly painting a donkey a*se!!! (for pin the tail on the donkey....... what else!)

    Hi All!!

Well the internet connection is still working and I am going to try and organise those old mobiles. Get them sorted, ready for sending off for some free money!!

I am thinking that tonight I am going to be a little bit naughty tonight and go to the pub for a few drinkies. Well my reckoning is that I went into town today, traipsed round loads of shops and all I spent was £1.10 on the car parking ticket! Nothing that I liked.... and nothing worth spending my money on.... once upon a time I would have bought something anyway!

Well, better crack on with theses mobiles before they decide to do another vanishing trick!!

(Rags - hope the spreadsheet is working?)

Hi again! Mobiles all organised and ready to be charged (just a little to get any unnecessary details off them!). If all goes according to plan, then I should receive the grand sum of £55.25! Not bad for a couple of hours work. I think I will send the parcels (3 different companies) by special delivery (or whatever it is called these days!). A little expense, but I would rather guarantee they definitely get the phones!!

Well..... I am going out tonight. Nothing heavy, just a couple of drinks with a couple of friends. Might even not drink and then save on a taxi home..... Hmmmm, we'll see!

Have a wonderful evening and a great Sunday. I will try and pop round your diaries at some point. Feel a bit bad .... not dropped into many people recently!

ps, Abbey payment went out yest so have updated signature with another £30 paid! YAY!!
