    You could crush it all up and use it as a crispy coating on fish or chicken.

    DD & I made some crispie cakes and used shredded wheat instead of rice crispies:D Just break them up and mix with the chocolate....yummy;)

    good morning to all you mse`s:D i was wondering if you guys could be of any help, i have half a box of shredded wheat lurking in my cupboards that have gone out of date :o oh wont touch them with a bargepole now as he thinks they might give him a tummy upset:rolleyes: men! as he is the only one in the house that likes them, pre lightbulb i would normally have thrown them out :eek: in my now mse`s wisdom im sure they can be put to good use and i can "hide" them in a recipe but im lacking inspiration and was wondering if you guys had any bright ideas as to what to do with them, cheers all and have a fab weekend n fingers crossed for england on sun :beer:

    Can anyone help,getting on well with the lack of food in the house and really being quite inventive thanks to all your suggestions :A ,things looking a bit bleaker today,but I have a huge box of shredded wheat,nobody likes it and it is left uneaten.Do any of you lovely people have any ideas of what can be done with it :confused: ,noticed the weetebix cake,wondered if anyone had similar for shredded wheat ?

    Crush a few and use to replace some of the oats in homemade flapjacks.

    A few weeks ago I was given some turkish/arabic/greek cake type things that included a sort of shredded wheat, nut and honey thing that was very tasty. I did have a greek and turkish cookbook but I can't find it aaah!
