    (((((((((((((((((((((((Queenie))))))))))))))))))))))))

I logged on here this morning and my heart lifted (very seriously) to see that you and C_Q had both posted. It set my day off on a lighter foot, and I was genuinely pleased and excited to see that you both (hopefully) felt well enough to post again. I have missed you both so much during the past few weeks - even when I havent been posting myself I find myself hoping you're both ok. How sad then that you've been made to feel so bad about coming 'home'.

Please dont take other peoples 'negative' comments to heart darling, I'm sure they're not really intended to hurt your feelings, and are more likely due to the age old problem of not being able to put 'tone' or 'inflection' into the written word on screen. Doesnt help though if you're already feeling fragile does it?? I rang dh this morning and told him I'd spoken to our accountant about the fact I'm running seriously late with our year end accounts, and that he'd said there was no point in worrying about it, worst case scenario was just a small fine. Then told him the BT man was here installing the broadband. At which point I burst into uncontrollable floods of tears!!! I'm blaming my hormones!!

Just remember, you NEVER need to justify anything you do to anybody so long as you can justify it to yourself. We're all just human beings muddling through and making the best of whatever situation we find ourselves in. Some of us do that by 'talking' about whatever it is that's troubling us and 'moaning' (for want of a better word) about our lot. Some of us do it quietly and privately and by focusing our energy outwards and being supportive to others, maybe therefore taking our mind off our own worries. I just hope there are enough 'supporters' out there to help you through, and to take over the reigns from you whilst it's you that's in the unusual position of needing us rather than us needing you.

Take care of yourself sweetheart, you're a source of inspiration and kindness to so many, please remember you're very very loved.

    Love

I don't think anybody's trying to knock you hun - we're just all wondering how you manage to fit it all in, and your posts have such a sense of energy that they give the mental image of your little "housework fairy" avatar flopping down exhausted with a cuppa at the end of it :D

We all think you're great, you inspire us all, and I don't think anybody's intended to be patronising or critical towards you (unless I've missed something in my skim-reading of the thread). Sorry if you're feeling that way :grouphug:

Queenie, Im really sorry I offended you, my post was never meant in anything other than a nice way, I echo the above, you are an inspiration to me and your posts help me get off my backside and try new things (I bought sprouting seeds and have just finished the 12th quilt patch - things I wouldnt have done without you!) and only meant that your posts are full of energy and remind me to 'do' things with my time instead of do nothing. :o Again, please accept my apologies.

On a separate note, I notice many are starting OU courses and wondered if you had been given an introductory workbook that teaches how to structure essays etc, if not, I still have mine from when I was an OU student a couple of years ago and could donate to whoever would like it. Similarly, if anyone happens to be studying DD100 (Social Science) I think I also have a few other bits knocking around that might help if you want them.

Finally, I bought a breadmaker. Im going to experiment with it shortly.

Sorry Freya, am I being thick (very likely), or is that a bit random???

Queenie, I will say it again - WE LOVE YOU.

I'm really sorry if anybody's been judgemental. It can feel quite nosey to ask about people's lives online rather then waiting for them to volunteer the information.
NOBODY wants you feeling unsupported, misjudged, misunderstood etc etc etc. We love the way you post messages on the daily thread which have an individual kind, encouraging or thoughtful remark for everybody.

Without you here, OS would be a far poorer place. You have one of the highest "thank you" counts per number of posts of any poster on MSE - surely that must tell you that PEOPLE VALUE YOUR THOUGHTFULNESS AND EXPERTISE! And please, don't feel you have to be in a good mood all the time just for us - we'll understand!!!

I can't really think of anything else to say because with the way you're feeling at the moment, I'm a bit afraid of saying something that will offend you, however much I try to the contrary.

You know there's umpteen people on here that you can PM for a non-public rant if you feel like it...

Nas what are you like. Mind you I hear on the grapevine that Deemy and IvanOpinion are too scared to post on here today!!
    Sorry! Sorry! Nas! Basket.... NOW!!
    Dear Mummy
I had fun at School. My teachar is Mrs Joanes.

    Have I missed something????

There seems to be something strange happening on here today.

Worse still, there seems to be a lot of misunderstandings & less than our usually happy posts.

It's wonderful that Queenie is back, and I don't think anyone really meant to offend at all, also, the dishwasher thing - surely we can agree to differ on this?

Please can we get back to our normal selves?

And I am not trying to be judgemental about anyone at all, it just seems to be a general something in the air here today. So if I am adding to it, would one of the moderators please let me know & delete this post.

Queenie-TBH, Im a little upset by your post. I think you do a grand job and always know your going to give sound advice too any questions people post here on OS...you have fantastic knowledge and always willing to help..your truly a treasure :D.....but, I find your post today difficult to digest and has totally confused/thrown me as to how to reply to comments made by you

I feel in some way that your comments are personally directed to me as I seem to describe daily how im feeling for that (normally not good LOL) particular day. I try to keep positive and explaining how im feeling-puts some prospective to the day and gives me something to focus on and improve. I dont want pity or sympathy, but maybe empathy...knowing Im not the only one having a bad day IYKWIM. It helps to support one another, but I think from now on it maybe better if I stop posting how I feel, as the last thing I want to do is offend someone...specially you hun ;)

    No offence intended.
