How do I know if the belkin network adapter is working?
Have you set up wireless on the box yest? You will need to add your ssid, wep key etcNo links in signatures please.0 -
Yup, Pinnacle's website is slooooooooooooow!
Got my ShowCenter working fine, although not currently using WiFi as 'er indoors won't move the 2 drawer steel filing cabinet which is on the other side of the wall behind the telly and hence is blocking good WiFi signal!
I managed to download V2.50 and it auto-installed (software/firmware) onto the ShowCenter no problem.
I've also got a Pinnacle PCTV 310i (DVB-T, analogue TV and radio) rigged up to the PC now. It talks to the ShowCenter, providing PVR function and allows the ShowCenter to control programme recording onto the PC. Unfortunately you can't watch Freeview 'live' through the ShowCenter (I think!!), but you can view the channel list and hence record the programmes to watch on the ShowCenter.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

Errr.....dunno!
Never ran V1.7 apart from initial setup. Graphics have changed a bit.
Couldn't tell you what 1.7 hadn't got that 2.5 has!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

Thats the one - although there may be slight US vs UK differences. The software site http://www.gbpvr.com/screenshots.htm works fine for me.

Now I have started looking at these, I have found this one from a local computer shop: -

which I didn't think was a bad price at £82. Out of stock until maybe tomorrow though :rolleyes:0 -
When did you buy your MVP for 21 pounds ? Is it PCWorld in-store price?
Thanks!martint123 wrote:It is though. Scart connecter to the TV, RJ45 for ethernet and software on a PC. So wired rather than wireless, but I picked mine up for £21. Those screenshots were what you see on TV, not just on a PC.

Thanks!
It would be in-store ,to use an americanism, a closeout price, ie when they get rid of products they have decided to stop selling, and reduce them till they are gone. The next few weeks will be a good time to visit stores as they will reduce returns and end of line items to make way for new stock.
For example when in Currys yasterday, they were selling returned and display TVs, the best of which was a JVC 24" widwscreen tv for £50 !!!!!!!!

Hi,
Now my ISP is operating again (Just) I have a few queries regarding my setup.
I have a belkin usb Network Adapter plugged into a USB port. and I have the card plugged into the showcenter.
All the belkin picks up is my BT Voyager 100 Broadband modem?
Is there something missing from my system?
Why is it picking up my modem.
Does this mean that I can connect this machine wirelessly to my modem?
Showcentre software says 'No Data' when I run it and I cant get any further.
I only have usb 1.0. Is that a problem?
Hopefully someone can help. Very close to giving up and offering the showcenter to someone else."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
If your modem is definitely a BT Voyager 100, it can't be picked up by WiFi as it doesn't have that capability.
You COULD therefore be picking up a neighbours WiFi Modem Router???British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
