I finally managed to order a return ticket at a reasonable price for DD!

Was telling DH that other DDs housemates all love the hobnobs (thanks twink) so much that I feel a real pressure to get them right when her little sister visits with a load of them at the weekend.

I got some sachets of apple Oatsosimple to add to the mix and went out specially so I could bake tomorrow.

What reply did I get?

Was it "Never mind, they'll be fine" or "Just the fact that it's homemade is special!"

NO!!!!

I got "They are students" "They are always hungry!" "They'll eat anything!":mad:

I thanked him politely for his "reassurance" and he still does not realise what he said!!!!

Went to Ikea after all today, got some nice large kilner jars but the small ones that I really really wanted were completely sold out! Also picked up a ready to make gingerbread house for DD & me to decorate for Xmas that will be fun.

Havnt done much else today and am helping OH work tomorrow so looks like will be a weekend of catching up.

not read the thread yet but will later after tea.

thought I'd update you on Lesley. she's still very poorly, got pneumonia now and the cancer has possibly spread to her lungs. I visited yesterday and she was quite bright but not so good today they said. We are taking it one day at a time at the moment.

OS wise not much has been done this week - the cupboards are still a bit bare even after Tesco delivery because I had run them down so much so will hopefully stock up at the weekend.
Not much else to report really so will go and have my tea.

At last something OS to report.
I've made, tray of Rocky Road, tray of Flapjacks, tray of Sticky Lemon Cake, Rocky Road & Sticky Lemon Recipe were both from this thread. Do you think that will be enough for 17 people?
Nightmare day at work, trying to do 2 jobs, Mrs Degree still too ill to come to work. I was doing 3 first aid calls simultaniously when the fire bell went!!!

I am getting later and later coming in everyday, been all over the place today.No OS lunch though we ate out. Just had dinner, smoked ham and cheese sarnies on granary bread, it was MrM's cheese a real bargain only £1 and as good as cathedral city, nice and strong too, I cant stand soapy tasting cheese.
