  • Thanks for all the replies. So it looks as though they are going to send out the forms and we get them as soon as the post allows. I would like to wish all Icesavers a happy Xmas and hope all our problems are resolved by Santa's little helpers

    Best wishes
  • Have any fixed bond holders, having received the 2nd email, and requested to leave bond alone, had a form yet?

I guess Paul Herring was completely wrong when he rather patronisingly had a go at me, and others, for predicitng delays.

4th December wasnt it Paul? :rotfl:
  • No form in the post yet, initiated on 14th Nov, maturing early Jan. However, I have printed out the 'barcode obliterated' form and sent it off in the hope of speeding things up a bit.
  • The following very kindly from 'briskly' on 12.12.08 on another thread on a similar topic

I think i must have missed something in the thread. Thanks.

I've posted a .pdf version of the form for easy printing with the barcode and reference number obliterated here:

Still no response from my form posted (recorded delivery) on 6 Dec.

  • My fixed rate (7.02% I think) is due next May. All I did was go onto the Icesave website and choose the "leave until maturity" box instead of the "pay me the money now" box.

    Didnt bother with any forms?
  • Everyone waiting until maturity is going to be sent a form, which once sent back will take up to 6 weeks to process, and then after maturity of the fixed rate account a cheque will be sent. I think its only those of us with imminent maturity dates that are really pushing hard for the forms now, as you've got until May you've got plenty of time to receive it.

Just seen this. Can you explain what this barcode obliterated process is and whether I need to do it. Thanks
(The site is down for maintenance, so no way of working it out from the form)
    My bond matured on 6/12/08
  • Once the site i back up and running follow the instructions to download the form to your computer, then print it out, fill it in and send it off.

You don't 'need' to do it, because you can wait for the official form to arrive in the post, but some people have decided to give it a go to see if it speeds things up a bit.
  • Nothing here as yet. Bond matured 18th nov. Oh I wish I had hindsight
  • me too, I would definitely have done things differently
