True. But I won't waste my energy fighting for the rights of people who don't respect the rights of others.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. Forum Ambassadors are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an illegal or inappropriate post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com (it's not part of my role to deal with this). The BNP represent some offensive people with very nasty views. However it is their right to hold such views and they shouldn't be denied work etc as a result.0

I like reading some of the articles on the BBC website, this was an interesting analysis I thought ...

having read most of the posts in this never ending thread ,what has suprised me the most is the very nasty undertone, not only from the pro BNP Mob but the opposing point of view, it really has... well educated people engaging in a subtle but quite obviously deeply unpleasant..nasty tone, I wonder who are the worse, the BNP or thoes that seem to oppose them..NDG in particular has surprised me ...0 -

None more so than this one"The same day I saw my first horror camp, I visited every nook and cranny. I felt it my duty to be in a position from then on to testify about these things in case there ever grew up at home the belief or assumption that the stories of Nazi brutality were just propaganda."

There is a group known as Red Watch, which overlaps with BNP members closely, that does this, but that's not the same as saying that Mr. X the random BNP member done this, nor is it actually anything to do with the BNP as a party - the people who 'out' anti-BNP campaigners tend to be BNP activists as well for obvious reasons.0 -

In what way have I surprised you? I don't think people in general should be sacked for holding political views. I haven't read the list, and don't intend to. I think it is both breach of data protection and a breach of privacy. I think harrassing or intimidating members of the BNP and / or people on that list is wrong.
I do think any policemen who are members of the BNP are more than a bit thick, as it is forbidden in their job. Rightly so, I'd also say.
I also think the BNP are scum. Don't forget, this is a group of people, members of whom have described by darling son as a "mongrel". Some of them deny the holocaust that saw every member of OH's grandfather's family killed except for the man himself (including his first wife and children) and most of OH's grandmother's family. She herself was liberated from Dachau. Most of her siblings, both her parents, and all but one of her neices and nephews died, as did her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
The BNP isn't illegal. I don't think it should be, either. But as they have a right to their views, I have a right to think of them as fascist scum of the earth....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
So why are they concerned that the list has been published. They are a political party, so why are they embarrassed? Shouldn't they be proudly spreading their message?
It's one thing to proudly spread a message, and quite another to have all your personal details posted on line (including ages and names of your children) for all to see. Are you a member of any group Silvercar? Do you feel strongly about any cause or anything in particular? If so, please post here, together with name, address, hobbies, profession and all details of minors.0 -

Goes to show what they'd be like if they ever saw any power. Let this be a warning to us all."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.0
