I always thought that Greens were dangerous fascists. Looks like I was right.0 -

Just as those people are entitled to hold political views, I'm entitled to think they are racist, bigoted scum.
But how can you be sure that everyone named on the list is a member of the BNP? There have already been a lot of people claiming they are NOT members and that they merely requested information about the party. Isn't it the case that sometimes people request information from groups or parties that they are totally opposed to in order to be able to argue against said parties knowing exactly what they are arguing against? I would certainly consider requesting information about certain parties so that I could argue from a position of knowledge with their members rather than going on what the media tells me.
How can you know the reasons why people might be on the list and the motivations as to why people might join such a party? Also, isn't it wrong to judge people before they have been proven 'guilty'. How do we know that the list is genuine and that noone has added the names of people they have a grudge against?
The people on the list have as much right to privacy and not have to explain their reasons for joining as any Labour, Tory or Monster Raving Looney Party party member does.
I believe that it is very dangerous to judge a whole swathe of people merely for being on a list without knowing their motivations, even if the list is correct.

I don't know who is on the list, though. I've not read it!
Yes, data such as this should not be published in breach of the DPA and a High Court injunction. I agree completely....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Yep, quite a few issues here:
The morality of supporting the BNP.
Right to privacy.
Accuracy of leaked data.
Freedom to hold political beliefs without being penalised in employment.
You can be anti-BNP but still disagree that they should be 'named and shamed' or banned from working somewhere.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -
>My next door neighbour's on that list!<
LOL. What an opportunity for some novelty Xmas cards or some wind-ups. "Yes, we're thinking of selling. A Mr Maffumi has made a offer. Lovely chap, just been given leave to remain in England. His wives will be coming over, as soon as their Holy Man has driven away the evil spirits."0 -
Spiderwoman - you missed the one who is a double for the Party Chairman, Nick Griffin!
Also, just to be pedantic - it was one person who had been a nurse in South Africa - it doesn't actually say that she's South African. So 'South African Nurses' is a wee bit of an exaggeration.
I found it very interesting, and the blog when they found out about it, also very interesting - what a lot of swearwords! But, of course, I wouldn't want my personal details publicised - names/addresses/phone numbers/mobiles/e-mail addresses.
Nevertheless, I wonder if they know how dangerous the BNP could be/is.
