I agree, I gave my best friend things that I had used for my baby. They were all in perfect condition and I could probably have got alot more on ebay or the like, but I gave her a rocker, about 3 bin bags of clothes, and because we were moving house I gave her our hoover, and iron, brand new shelves...thats all I can remember off the top of my head, but I only asked for £20 for the lot.
I would have gave her it all for nothing, but she insisted and actually wanted to give us much more money, but I refused.
I definately think £100 is too much. If theres something I have that I dont need/want, and a friend does, then I would just give it to them, no money involved. xxx0 -
When she says "i'm keep the glider chair etc" why didn't you try to lower the price then? I would have said something like, "So how much do you want for just the pram?" that would have immediately forced her to lower the price.0

That's what I would have done had it been a business transaction with someone that wasn't a friend. As it is, I was put on the spot and didn't want to spoil an otherwise nice night!
I agree, I didn't really think it through - but I don't think I can undo it now, so I'll just have to write it off and see what the future brings.
In any case..I'll be going pram shopping tomorrow, I think!0 -
