Well Dunstonh, I stand by my assertion that the funds are there to make money and where they don't a major emergency should be sounded and the investors should be offered some chance to recover their loss i.e. move to a better performing fund at a discounted rate......simple civility that.:T
That is totally possible. That is one of the features of the funds. You or a servicing adviser can switch funds as you see fit.
Switches are typically free of charge or just carry a very small switch fee depending on who you use.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I would be very reluctant to have all my portfolio in equities, he is my spread
UK equities - 23%
Overseas equities - 10%
Private equities - 2%
Structured products - 8%
Fixed income - 25%
Hedge funds - 20%
Property - 10%
commodities - 2%Liquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0 -
i know someone who worked in the city for a company who's main aim is to fleece peoples money, and when they lose it, convince them to invest more to make some of it back.
the owner drives about in his flash car and the promise of decent wages keeps most of the people working there from sleepless nights.
in the end my mate couldn't hack it. seeing people lose thousands when they never had any realy chance of making any money short or long term.
it was just all about the upfront fee's, thats all the company cared about.:grouphug:
no wonder he has a smile on his face...0 -

The only trouble is where am I going to put it?...I don't fancy the banks, which is no surprise, and please don't tell me about investment funds..Ha Ha HAAAAA! any suggestions
.......maybe :j

No idea what to do, my advice would be pretty p*ss poor to be honest.
My New Star fund which I was whining about the other day went up 8% yesterdayshame not Friday instead though as tomorrow I buy £50 worth of units so would be nicer if they were cheaper :rotfl:

Best of luck with your fund.......by my experience you will need it although my pension fund has recovered and is almost back up to the amount invested. :TLove your son.0
