Jamanda loving the idea of a red cross parcel but the postman can't get to us! Mardatha I have run out of sweeties too, have loads of choccy left but am fancying sweeties - think i'm going to look into making some - used to with the kids when we lived on the island. It's hail here and i'm guessing will freeze on top of what we already have - the temp got up to -5 at lunchtime but its much lower just now

I feel guilty now having a sweetie with poor Mardatha sweetless Maybe you should have stocked up with essentials - not fuel or flour but jelly babies!!! Hope you are ok up there hunny. Have just waved DD's fella off back to army camp in Hull and am waiting impatiently to hear if he got there in one piece.

Mardatha have you tried sugar butties?

Butter the bread quite thickly and then put on as much sugar as you can face. Fold over ans squash down to stop the sugar grains from escaping - you need every little bit!
