DH woke up early and brought me up some tea and plugged in the laptop in our bedroom - bliss!

DDs still asleep and they plan on doing the cooking today - have told me sternly to rest.

Christmas stockings are on the kitchen table for when they get up and presents under the tree will be opened throughout the day.

We have always told DDs that only the stockings were from Santa and left them on the kitchen table with mince pie, carrot for Rudolph etc.

DD said last night that she thought at the age 8 Santa was not real and wondered how to break the news to me:rotfl:

It obviously never occured to her that having two much younger sisters might have had something to do with it.

So pleased for charliesaunt and family about the job:j

    Happy Christmas to everyone :santa2:

It's a day for love and compassion isnt it ? Being happy and celebrating but at the same time sending out the vibes to the world, and realising that we are all one people on one planet with the same worries and fears whatever colour or religion or whateverhell we are !

I just HAVE to tell you..I'm so thrilled!
My luvverlee Offspring clubbed together & have bought all the fixings to service my car :jThere's a gallon of oil, the filters & they hid the spark plugs in bits of loo roll to put me off the scent :rotfl:So all being well--& dependent on the weather --Victoria SIZE=1]named assuch, as the colour resembles that of a plum![/SIZE will be treated to the motoring equivalent of a spa treatment before the very generous mechanic has to go back to work before the NY. One of the Offspring commented to me muvva, that I must be the only mum to get excited over an air filter for crimbo :D

I hope your Day was Peaceful & the left-overs don't bring you indigestion :p Lovely cold cuts with mash & pickles today, as requested. I :heartsmil my Family!

Hope you are all having a good time and managing to forget the sorrows for a day or two. Upwards and onwards
  • Hoping everyone enjoys the festive season and that your ills/sorrows/wants recede for at least a while. Wishing everyone all the best for the New Year and that Charlie's Aunt's OH has a good time in his new job - may their good luck extend to everyone.
