), hubby is off out for birthday drinks with his mate (which I'm not very happy about as his mate seems to be getting himself in trouble and struggling to control his temper a lot recently....but he's a very old friend of hubbys so he doesn't feel like he can let him down....oops, way off topic, sorry!).
Well done on your wins, sending lucky vibes your way for March!
Enjoy the film - I've seen it before and it's very good0 -
Hi everyone
Looking for your inspiration again
I need to get about £200 in a week so that my Egg loan payment comes out of my account ok on Monday 12th March. The reason for the panic is that AQA have had some problems with my account details (deleted off their system apparantly) so I won't be getting paid on the 6th as I should be. They have said that I will need to resubmit my account details but that this can take up to 14 days to process  .
I can't delay the payment to Egg as I had some problems with them recently and they were really understanding then but I don't think they would be again so I really need to payment to come out.
Ok, I have just transferred £60 from some stuff I sold on Ebay so that money should be in my account by Friday this week.
Obviously the main problem is the turn around of money if I list more things on Ebay. Even if I list things tomorrow evening for 3 days then the money won't be in my account on time if they pay via paypal or cheque.
So what else can I do to get £140 in 7 days bearing in mind that it needs to be cash in hand basically? Has anyone got any ideas? Is there anything that people do when they are desperate for cash?
I have so far thought about taking some DVDs to Cex to sell them but this will only get me £10-£20 at the most but it will be cash in hand.
I really don't know what else I can do in such a short space of time. Borrowing off my boyfriend is a last resort as I don't know when I would be able to pay him back. I have got things I could take to Cash Convertors but those places are such rip-offs that I am reluctant to do so.
Any ideas much appreciated

Put stuff on ebay asap and ask your bank for a temporary increase in overdraft (say a week?)
That way the egg payment doesn't bounce so you don't get charged and when the money clears from ebay you overdraft will be cleared and removed.0 -

Thanks for the suggestion - I have already been down that route, I have got quite a large overdraft at the moment and I asked my bank yesterday if they would increase it for a couple of weeks and they refused.

I know borrowing off your boyf is a last resort - but you know that once your AQA money is cleared you'll be able to pay him - and that's in less than 14 days? A possibility?

another slightly dodgy alternative would be if you know someone who's about to pay £140 or more for something, to offer to stick it on a credit card and have them give you cash.
If there were a gang of you out to dinner or your mums weekly shop or something. Then you could pay it off again when the AQA money comes through, but before it adds any extra interest.0 -

Yeah, I think I will mention it to him tomorrow but I have borrowed money from him before and I really hate doing it.
If I could just cut down the amount I need to borrow too then that would be even better.

True, but would the cash coverters items get you a lot more money from, say, ebay? If so are the potential losses worth it?

That would be a good option but I have cut all my cards up and don't use them anymore - all apart from my debit card that is. I think a lot of my cards actually expired and I didn't even bother to activate the new ones so that I wouldn't be tempted, I just cut them up when I received them.

I know, I don't think I will go down the cash convertors route as I really hate those shops - they just rip people off. I don't mind selling a few DVDs that I don't watch to Cex though so I will probably do that which should get me around £20.
