Hi everyone
Been having a nightmare with my internet access recently so haven't been around.
Finally back online today :j - I feel so lost without my internet
Not won anymore prizes recently as I've not been online to enter the comps  . I have sold the satnav I won for £126 - a guy is picking it up tonight and paying cash which is great. I'm going to use the £6 of that to buy my boyfriend a Valentines Gift (bottle of booze!! ) as I've given up on the donuts idea as he says he's on a diet  .
I'm still waiting for my camcorder and solar powered backpack.
I've fallen behind on my questions but I figure whatever I can do is a bonus and therefore I've abandoned my little plan with that. I've got about £250 in there at the moment.
And............wait for it...............
I've sent off the letter for my bank charges   :j :j- the total came to just over £2,200!!!
At least I have finally gotten the ball rolling

Well done Emily that is great news that you have started on the bankcharges. Just think £2000 that will go along way towards debt clearance.
Keep up the good work and I'm sure you will win some more prizes. I played "free bingo" used Quidco and won a few games enough to make £10 profit plus £20 back on Quidco. Just got an email this morning that I have won a Skype Headset in some comp on the site I did not know I had entered by playing. Real bonus.Save £12k in 25 No 49

So - second present of the year bought. I got my boyfriend a large bottle of Red Square and a red bottle bag which cost just £3.38 altogether. I used some of the money I got from my satnav to pay for this so technically it cost me nothing. I also made a card for him so that was free too
I've now got to get cracking on our anniversary (14th March), my Grandma's birthday (16th March) and Mother's Day (18th March).

Hi Mirtos
Well done on the bank charges. I know they take a while to come through but at least I've got the ball rolling now. I should be able to treat my little niece or nephew to something when they come through. I hope your mum gets her charges back ok - £3k is a lot of cash for her.
Take care

Hi emily,
Forgive me butting in but can you tell me about the money you're earning with AQA? What is AQA? Do you mean the exam board?! What do you have to do and how can we go about joining in to earn some extra pennies?!

Hi everyone
I need some advice please. I desperately want to get my own place next year, hopefully with my other half but if I can't cut his apron strings then it will be on my own.
I know that it is more financially sensible to stay at home but I don't want my debt to hold me back in my life as I know that I am not going to live as long as someone else my age due to my illness (although I hope I have still got a good 20-30 years left in me  ).
I want to have some space and independence which I can't get living with my mum. I'm 26 in April and I am just itching to get my own place. I won't be able to buy one (not on my own anyway) firstly due to my debt and secondly due to medical reasons. I will therefore be renting.
I'm not going to do this straight away. I think that I will spend the rest of this year paying off as much as I can whilst saving for the deposit and first month's rent (will need around £1,000 for this I should imagine). I will also cut back on what I can from my monthly outgoings to allow me to work out a budget as to how much I can afford to spend per month. Obviously if my boyfriend decides to live with me then this will be much cheaper.
I think I can do this with my questions money and my wages plus the benefits I get. I know I will have to pay for food and bills etc etc too. I'm also going to try and win a load of household stuff so I won't have to spend much on furniture and bits and pieces (and there is always freecycle).
My only problem is that I will be leaving my mum on her own. It's a year tomorrow since my dad died and I just don't know how she will cope living on her own.
I did move out of home when I was about 21 years old. I moved out to be closer to my boyfriend. My mum and dad went off on one when I left, my dad hit the bottle and blamed me and my mum didn't talk to me for a few months!! I came round for Sunday dinner every week (I moved 30 minutes away) but my mum would avoid me and go round my auntie's or gran's house.
I ended up going round my boyfriend's house more instead and grew closer to his mum. Anyway, things did get slightly easier and my mum did talk to me again but our shared house got burgled and I got made redundant so I had no choice but to move back home.
The problem is how do I tell my mum that I want to move out again?? Last time, my dad was still alive and my older sister was still living at home!! I'm not going to move out of Portsmouth which means that my mum could come and see me on the bus (she doesn't drive).
My sister moved out about 5 years ago when she bought a house with her now husband but my parents were fine when she moved out.
I just feel a bit suffocated at the moment and need my own space. My boyfriend and I also want our own space as he still lives with his parents too.
This is driving me nuts, I really want to get cracking on getting everything ready for moving out but this is holding me back. Does anyone have any helpful advice?
