Emily you are amazing!!!! When you are debt free i think you should be given your own episode on TV to show the world that yes, life can get tough but you have to get up and get on with it! An awful lot of people could learn an awful lot from you! Well done, keep at it, your an inspiration.:T

    Hello everyone

Well, it's a new month and I didn't manage to clear any debts during May. I always feel a bit more positive at the beginning of the month. I will definately get that pesky Alliance & Leicester loan cleared this month. There can only be a couple of hundred left on it so it will be cleared VERY soon!!

I did another mystery shop this morning which went ok and have spent the rest of the day answering questions on AQA (had the day off work as flexi).

I'm having a really economical weekend too as my boyfriend has gone to stay with his mate in London and won't be back until Sunday night so I can just stay at home and not be tempted to spend any money (is that really sad or just me being sensible??). I need to find some more stuff I can sell on Ebay so I'll have to rummage about in my room.

I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted for me for post of the month. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who has won but I have got a feeling that Welshdragon has clinched it. I do appreciate all of the support that I have received and it does keep me going so thank you.

    Take care everyone

    Emily xx

I don't think you are being sad re: the boyfriend thing. I would do exactly the same thing in your shoes.

I hope you turn up some more stuff for EBAY.

    Good luck for June! xx

I definitely don't think it's sad. In fact, I sometime wish that my boyfriend would go out because secretly I enjoy staying at home and being frugal!

    Keep it up x

Don't get too down about not clearing a May debt - your achieving one every other month which is pretty good in my book.

Keep up the good work, you are putting me to shame!
Don't seem to manage to find as many mystery shopper assignments as you - must be living in a back-water and having 2 kiddies to restrict my time. Mind you, you work so last comment probably doesn't count....

Emily, don't get too down about it. You're not clearing small debts where you owe the odd £50-60, you're looking at stuff that would have me on my knees trying to clear it!!!. I did my first 2 mystery shopping jobs this weekend but I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't read this thread so thanks for sharing your story with us. :T :T :T :T :T :T

I'm glad that you have started mystery shopping Pilchard. I was really nervous when I did my first one but they are really easy now!! I've got another 4 lined up over the next few days plus I have just signed up to be a mystery diner so I'm hoping to get a few free meals.

I hope I feel a bit better before then, I had to come home from work sick today as I've got a really dodgy stomach (too much info, I know!!). Fortunately tomorrow's one is only a telephone mystery shop.

I'm going to call Alliance & Leicester tomorrow to find out exactly how much I owe now and it will be paid this month!!

Hope your tummy feels better soon...not a mystery diner consequence was it!! Keep plodding but look after yourself! Hows the money tin coming on?!! Big hugs!

The money tin is coming along very nicely - I just keep on filling it with all of my change and I plan to count it as soon as I can jam no more in!! :D

I think my dodgy tummy is just a side effect of my illness, I get it an awful lot. I can't digest my own food so my digestive system is always playing up!!

    Emily xx
