basically u can use pc software like pcdj etc to play from your pc or you connect your mixer up to your soundcard and stream live with various different software like winamp etc.

    Pretty simple really
  • Ok cool. So who pays you? And why do you get tips? Also, can you make money doing it?

well as i've said in this thread, it's not a game.

it would work in the same way as it would in real life. if your audience likes your set, they tip you.

if you have been booked to do a set by a club owner, then they would pay you.

like any job, wether or not you can make money out of it is entirely down to you and if you're a decent enough DJ.

  • Well I'm a DJ in clubs and radio and don' t often get tipped by the audience! Just a fee! However, sounds like an interesting concept! I shall look in to it. Thanks for your info.

If anyone has any more info on the whole concept, pm me.

  • i think the main thing to point out to people thinking about joining second life is that when you actually first arrive in the "world" there, you need to realise that it's not a game you play and it doesn't have a specific goal to attain.

it literally is like a second life - pretty much anything you can do in the real world, you can do in second life.

i think this is where a lot of people come unstuck with it really because they have this preconceived idea that it's a game, and so quickly lose interest.

for everyone interested in the virtual escorting, i can assure you that it's a lot of fun and if you can get paid decent money for it, all the better.

That has to be saddest/ worrying thing I have read about 2nd Life .

Surely it should be treated as a game ? You CANNOT have a meaningfull relationship with a bloody avatar . and virtual sex is hardly fullfilling is it
