Your older cat just needs time to adjust, bet she was the centre of attention and doesn't like sharing now (and who can resist fluffy kittens!).
We had two old cats when someone dumped a black kitten in the farmyard - he was really too young to be away from his mother and could only just lap milk on his own. One of my cats mothered him, the other one never really got on with him but kinda grew to tolerate himEventually, they would all cuddle up together on the chair in front of the fire, usually with the cat who mothered the kitten keeping peace in the middle

Problem is with Eppie, she is diabetic & any stress or illness has an effect on here bloog glucose levels. I've tested her twice since the kittens have been here & her results have increased, which isn't good. Obvioulsy, I can't allow a great increase as she will become very ill & need injections of insulin. She has been in remisssion now since January last year.0 -
UPDATE:
Eppie still isn't tolerating the lodgers. I bought the Feliway diffuser & plugged it in the room where Eppie spends her time. Hopefully things will improve.
Mother & kittens still doing well.0 -
Really hope she'll come round. Be patient with the Feliway though, with my cats it takes around a week to 'kick in'. Still waiting for pics0
