Well done on not buying the shoes!
We never said it was nice
it really is yuk but you get used to it soon.....i promise. i would maybe have two soon, but not to sure. i used to just drink as much as i could bring myself to drink...did drink less before 37 weeks and then at 37 weeks i would have about 3-4 a day.....all i could bring myself to drink.... i cant remember the amount recommended though! Just noticed your due on xmas day! dd2 was due on boxing day, it really was a busy day and i was so worried about going in to labour on xmas day!! she hung around thought till the 5th jan...
Well i did a meal plan today and i have stuck to it so far.....i know not long. will get the meat out for tomorrow tonight so i know i have to cook it...
hope you have all had a good day.GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
No mummy2mygirls you are quite right you didnt say it was nice:rotfl:
Going to stick with 1 a day for rest of this week then step it up a gear next week. Think OH was worried it was going to work instantly!!:rotfl:
Ive just done a meal plan up till end of December, it was a bit hard to do especially with the thought that little Pip may make an appearance at anytime and disrupt the plan:eek:
I have been making larger quantities and freezing the leftovers so there are meals for OH if I am in hospital or for us both when we are too tired to cook. Going to Morrisons on Friday to make sure cupboards are well stocked with basics just i case.
5th of Jan hey? Mmmmm hope Pip doesnt hang around that long but they probably will!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

hi everyone, the rasberry tea is not supposed to put you in labour, they say it helps do something to the womb making it more effective when contracting, but yes, not nice tasting. i used to leave the tea bag in so at the end it actually tasted of something.
i went straight into having 3 a day and ds2 hung on and had to be induced nearly 2 weeks past my due date!!!!
well done on all the meal plans, now we are all doing it we should hopefully be able to stick to it. your very organised pipsmum doing all of dec!!!! least you have got stuff for your hubby to eat when u do have pip, i did this for oh and ds1 when had ds2 and he always (conviently) forgot to take it out of the freezer!!
not much luck on my car insurance, the cheapest i can find is £200, so going to ring my current provider tomorrow and tell them i have found it £185 can they match it?? thanks for the tip eamd!! its only a little saxo and loads of companies wont quote a small engine, very annoying!
well its mince and fried new potatoes (boiled then sliced when cool) for tea tomorrow so have actually got the mince out to defrost overnight in the fridge. dont think i have ever been this organised.
have made the teacakes!!!!!!!:D the recipe i followed didnt mention adding any spice so will see if they taste right tomorrow as me and ds1 will have some for brekkie. made all of downstairs smell lush when they were cooking though........reminded me of my nans house!
nothing else to report today apart from my sealed pot is doing well as my purse zip doesnt keep closed when i put any coins in so have to keep emptying it!!!!:rotfl: not sure wether this is good or bad??!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

No problem,
Which sites have you tried?
Tesco Compare
Compare the market
Moneysupermarket
Gocompare
Also what do you do for a living, im a trainee accountant but can still be classed as an accountant and this can lower quotes if you can put things like this.
I would also check your old mot's and check if your doing as much mileage as you think you are per year.
Lastely dont give them a round figure, on what you've been quoted i'd say you have been quoted £164.20 and see what they say. If they com back any cheaper bonus if they cant then you can always still take up their quote later by just saying that the cover wasnt the same as they offered!
You really have to play them at their own game, personally i dont think we should have to fight them for the best price but if need must then thats what we have to do i'd rather the money is in my pocket than their's!

rags i hope they go for the £185, always worth the try...Hope the tea cakes are nice today! I got my meat out last night and will pop it in the slow cooker soon so ill be sticking to it two days in a row!! Im cooking a beef pie but cooking lots of the middle bit so i can keep some in the freezer for another day!! makes life a little easier!
pips mum well done on doing one till the end of dec! very organised. I will be batch cooking when its nearer my due date so that we dont have to worry to much after baby born, didnt do it before and have to admit to a few take aways in the first few weeks and a few easy shove in the oven meals!! so want to be more organised this time!
I hope pip doesnt hang around to long for you, my first was 14 days late and I had to be induced! then second was 10 days late with out being induced so I am not expecting this one to turn up till atleast a week or a bit late! think they get too cosy in there
Hope you all have a good day! I have both girls at home today dd1 isnt very well (she is fine in her self but got a bad belly!) so i have a mad house! atleast i wont be going anywhere so will be a nsd....

Good morning everyone, its freezing here today. brrr!
eamd, i tried all the comparison sites i could think of and checked the main site here, am already with tesco's. if i cancelled my policy with them and went back with them as a new customer i would get it a lot cheaper as they give you the first year with them with a 15% discount. could i use this as a bargining tool?? i am a staff nurse, but dont think i get any discount for my profession.
my teacakes taste nice but not like the shop bought ones, will add some mixed spice to the next batch i think. ds1 not complaining though and wolfed it down!!
planning my 4th nsd of dec, not going anywhere and got ds2's teething stuff yesterday as needed to buy sausages so well stocked up.
my fella has not taken his flask to work this week!! and i was doing so well with it!! will have to start leaving it in front of the kettle again, he might get the hint if he cant get to the kettle to make a cup of tea in the morning.
well, something weird has come over me, instead of dreading my statements for next and cc's coming through, i cant wait as it means i can change my sig!!!!!!! i have been turned!!!!!:rotfl:

Evening Ladies:hello:
Had a spend day today but did manage to finish my xmas shopping.
Got out a £10 note, and I still have the grand sum of 50p left!!
Went to Woolies as I had £50 of Vouchers to use before they shut up shop, got OH an Xbox game and a couple of other bits. They had only reduced stuff by 10% though:mad:
I am looking forward to my statements coming too! It will be cool to pay a chunk off and see where I am up to and change my sig of course too!
Rags on the main site under insurances there is a thing where you put your profession in and it gives you alternatives to use to make your insurance cheaper. Just by changing my profession from Trainer to Tutor (same thing really) I knocked off about £20
What did Tesco say about the cheaper quote? When I rang them and said I had a cheaper quote they tried convincing me their dearer one was better even though it was like for like!!
Mummy2mygirls hope littlie is feeling better?
Right off for now, got to make tea as per my Meal plan! Only planned up to January as wanted to makesure we would have enough food in should Pip appear at an unexpected time. Easier to do it for between the 2 paydays.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

good evening everyone!!!
:T well done on finishing your xmas shopping pipsmum and for braving woolies (if its anything like mine) glad you found stuff to buy in there, the shelves at the one here are pratically empty, had to que in there for 20 mins the other day!
i am running out of ideas now to save money or cut down our spending, and wondering if i will be able to keep it up when i go back to work in march. i will be working 8am till 8pm 3 days a week so will i have time to make the bread in the breadmaker? will we go back to living purely out of the freezer? will we stick to a low budget even though i will be bringing in more money?
think i am going to look into getting a slow cooker so can at least make something for oh and ds1 to have whilst im not there.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Why do we women worry so much!!
Rags you and I both are worrying about going back to work.
8-8 is a long shift, are they 3 consecutive days or are they spaced out?
You seem quite organised and you still have a few months to become even more organised so with a bit of planning and discipline I am positive you will be able to carry on being a MSE. To be debt free is something you obviously really, really want, we can all find time to do something if we really want to.
