hello and welcome to my ramblings!!!! feel free to pop in when ever you fancy, kettle is always on!
oh has gone shopping for me with the shopping list so should hopefully be well under the £50 budget for the week. not sure wether to keep whats left in the bank for the overdraft or put it into my sealed pot??
am gonna be a little naughty tomorrow and help my mum out in her cafe for about £40 quid. (5 hours work) cash in hand so gonna put that towards paying hbos cc so will have extra to pay off the others.
going to get my hair done today and i am so excited! it hasn't been done now for about 5 months so is well overdue.......
my ds1 got his first xmas card from school yesterday, i hadn't even thought i would need to buy xmas cards for him, will have to look in woolies as have got money off everything! will then have to get a list off the teachers of all his class so can write them. is it sad that my 3 year old will be sending out more xmas cards than me??!!
he is 4 next sat and have found a large mat with roads on for £20 (reduced from £50) in our local rug shop and going to raid my brothers old toy box for his toy cars. gonna put them into a plastic lidded box and decorate with stickers. (or might buy the stickers and let ds1 decorate it himself)
right am off to find my best clothes and put some slap on for the hairdressers, dont know why i always do this, maybe its coz they always look good, perfect face, nice clothes and not a hair out of place. its sad really.....................im 27 not 13!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Hello Mummy2mygirls and welcome:hello:
We are all in the same boat here so pull up a pew and we will have a chat, I believe ragstoricheswannabe is making a brew!! Mines a raspberry tea of course especially now I have had 2 glowing reports about it!!
Hows the hair looking ragstoriches? I am the same with getting tidied up to go to the hairdressers, I swear I would be one of those that if I could afford a cleaner would clean before they arrived!!!:rotfl:
I would say if your change from food shop is loose change pop it in your pot but if its in note form put it off your overdraft. I had the same quandry yesterday with my Avon commision, put it in my sealed pot then felt really guilty that I hadnt paid off a debt with it.
Good bargain with the car rug, he will love it. Cute that he could decorate his own cars too.
I had a good day, bought a small trolley full of Christmas snacks, nibbles and biscuits and only paid £4.54 for it all as I had vouchers, coupons and reward points, Woman at till gave me some funny looks but I dont care!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

my fella went shopping yesterday and only spent £35!!! i ummed and aahhed a bit then decided to put £10 in the sealed pot and keep a fiver for my overdraft....... every little helps but now i have written it down i feel i got it the wrong way round!! Have told him he will have to do the shopping from now on and i will do him a list every week! he actually agreed!:D  i cant stick to the list but he can so its a win win situation.
worked for mum in the cafe today and got myself £40 so will pay off some of the hbos cc tomorrow! yippee, cant wait till i have paid them as can start to change my sig with lower amounts!! made £1.90 in tips (amount between 4 of us) so into my sealed pot that went!
going to have to look on the old style board for something to do with my old banana's, maybe banana bread?? is that nice??
start my meal plan tomorrow so should be interesting to see how long i can keep to it! will have to do some more baking as all the stuff i did last week has gone!!!! have found a recipe to make tea cake dough in the breadmaker so think i will give that a go, makes a change from toast or cornflakes. also found a recipe for crumpets so might give that a go at some point. Hiya - just had a read of this thread and really enjoyed it even though I am an older mum now - my "baby" is 12 and my older 2 are 19 and 21. Wish all the contributors well with their little ones - and soon to be's. Christmas is just fab with little children - so magical.
On another note - yes banana bread, banana cake, banana muffins - the list is endless and everyone enjoys them when I make them so do have a go.0 -

Doubt to be really honest that I will be Debt Free by xmas next year but I am going to give it a darn good go and it gives me an aim to work to.
If your loan is with Egg like mine is then yes you should be able to overpay.
Next, A+L credit card and Abbey overdraft are the first ones on my hitlist. Worked out that I could manage to clear those by May (when my full pay runs out) so fingers crossed for those at least.
Big pat on the back for your hubby Ragstoriches for getting the shopping under budget.:T
Welcome Angela110660 :hello: glad you enjoy our mutterings!! Older mum just means more advice, which I am sure I will need lots of over the next few months.
