I can't believe there are still people posting on this thread!

Every time there is a misprice it always ends up like this - 5 or 6 bitter newbies who hang around for months moaning about "suing" and giving illogical and uniformed legal advice to each other on how everyone else is wrong and by selectively ignoring a few small (but vital) clauses in the terms and conditions they can show they are entitled somehow to compensation or a court-ordered fullfilling of the original order.

Move on with your lives like the rest of us...

Move on gizmo, don't keep checking back, what do you want here, it's not for you, mind your own business? You seem to think people are spending their lives here in this thread, it's just the odd post, get over it.

Am I right in thinking the legal costs aren't an issue if we have a strong case, as we can claim them as part of the amount we sue them for? And I don't know why people are saying a contract is only formed when Apple withdraw money from your account, as in their own terms of conditions it says a contract is formed when an 'order confirmation' email is sent out. Or does that not count for anything?

What about a class action? If we all have the same case, can we not all sue them together?

    I'm confused...

    Longggg thread!
However, if you have lost a bargain as a result of the traders breach you are able to make a claim for the difference.
That's interesting, is there any case law? Usefully negates weasel-worded T&Cs.
    What about a class action?
Do class actions exist in the UK?

hi im somewhat surprised , i take it that i alone recieved a phonecall yesterday from apple. I wonder why.

Through this whole fiasco one question has kept coming back to me and i dont think it has ever been answered.

While the education site offered the camera for £98.70 the normal apple site was still selling at the £600 price. I wonder if any orders for the £600 camera where fufilled. or

If it ever transpired that orders at the higher prioce where met then the whole lack of stock get out for apple would be like snow of a dyke on a sunny day.
  • I think you'll find that one of the main reasons the thread is so long is because so many people keep posting and moaning about how long it is! :money:

I think so, wasn't the action the railtrack shareholders took against the government a class action?

It's funny how all these noobs are getting really cross and angry with the old time posters when we come in and suggest to them that it's not worth it, and to carry on with life.

we've been there, done that, thought we might get £1000's of compensation. We've seen threads like this come and go many many times.

When you've been around the site a bit longer (if indeed you do stay after this apple thing is all done and dusted) then I'm sure you'll come to realise that deals like this are a case of have a go, and if it comes off, GREAT! If not, get on with the rest of your life.

we keep on coming back to this thread to see how it is developing. To see how many of you have got the message that you're not going to have a leg to stand on in court, and you're not going to get this camera, and you're not getting £1000's in compensation. And to see how many people are still deluding themselves that they have been wronged.

    *rant over*
