  • Wow, a voice of reason! Yes; email the address I gave you and ask them is the camera discontinued etc.

To the chap saying do I have the same UK rights - No. Its an internet store, governed by European law.

And as for whether i'm an infedel (is that the right word?) If worked for apple do you think i'd waste my precious time replying to you numpties! Thankyou for those who offered kind remarks though! :p

  • I think the major point still stands, surely handing over cash means a statutory right to a product? I know this question has been asked a million times but does anybody know whether a term and condition like this can overrule a statutory law (if such a law exists).

come on now im no a numpty ......i welcomed your input.....i just refer you back to my question regarding whether this is a mispricing issue....did anyone get a camera at the quoted price...did apple have any stocks at all....if not why not and why advertise that they did...
  • To the chap saying do I have the same UK rights - No. Its an internet store, governed by European law.

Err, I am not expert but I am pretty sure that laws apply to the place where the item is sold?

Oh and the email is from Olympus's head office in Germany - blame them for their spelling, you're welcome to email them yourselves on:
    di.support@olympus-europa.com

Thank you for clarifying that point. If I may ask, why did you e-mail German and not the U.K. division? If you wanted to go to the top would it not be better to e-mail their headquarters in Japan?

Et malheuresement non, je ne parle pas Allemande(?) so Ms Borch's English is most definitely better than my German.
comments offered by myself do not constitute (nor do they replace) professional legal advice.
