  • Doesn't look like they're available on-line (loads in store).

Also had Audi TT Scalectrix TT sets reduced from £40 to £20 (about 1/2 dozen left).

I'll have a look at the weekend - thanks.

My old rechargables have died so for the price of a new set I can get a faster charger :D

Can you tell me what mah are these batteries ? 1300mah, 2100mah, etc.. ?
  • They're 2050mah NiMH batteries so pretty good

Thanks OP - just got pack from Boots in Newbury town centre.

Batteries are actually rechargeable ACCU type (rated at 2050 mAh) but it will charge NiHM as well.

Good news is that the charger can be used abroad as the separate transformer takes 100-240V AC input.

Also, to clarify this is a 30minute charger (I thought it was a 1 to 2 hour charger)..
  • I just picked one of these up from my local Boots. Can I use any NiHM batteries, or do they have to be the duracell ones?
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Thanks - I assumed that "ACCU" was a Duracell branding as the packaging says "4AA NiMH Batteries included"

Sorry I think I was wrong, ACCU means "Battery" (Akku in German).

These batteries do have NiHM written on them and the charger will charge normal NiHM batteries.

Note..the instructions say "9. 2100mAh for AA and 800mAh for AAA at Max." - whatever this means because I doubt it can tell the capacity of a battery, unless it will only charge for a certain time to prevent over-heating!!

2050 is actually quite poor for rechargables. I got a set of Energizer 2500 mAh ones last year and they are great.

Granted 2050mAh isn't the best, but the worlwide charger is worth more than £10 alone - output of 1.4V @ 3.4A per slot should charge even the latest batteries in under 1 hour (if my maths and understanding of electric is correct)!!!!
