Thanks feed_me_chocs - this is the best bargain I've had from MSE! There were 2 left at our Merry Hill branch - and even the checkout girl was shocked at the price
... Happy New Year too!0 -
No probs lynseyjones, glad to have helped and glad you managed to grab 2 before they all went.

Hi, Popped in to my Boots store at Fosse Park in Leicester today to see if they had these chargers, but could not find any. As I went to the till to pay for something else I picked up a leaflet that said Duracell charger was £29.99 now £9.99.
I think this is the same one,it is not a miss price but an offer advertised sale.
Regards

I have to admit being totally bemused by this thread. I recently bought a charger, 4xAA, 4xAAA, and adapters for 'C' cell and 'D' cells in our local market for £12.99.
OK, the batteries are 800mAh and the charger takes a long time, but what on earth can be worth £44.99 (or even £29.99) that makes this offer such a great deal?0 -
i am returing mine back as i have 1 hour charger from maplins that came with 4x 2400 and i then orderd 8x aa battery of the 7dayshop when they offerd me free p&p so pointless keeping this as i allready have one.
( i know i will waste the tenner on food but,,,)0 -
Anyone wanting more batteries, the 7day shop has 4 x 2500mah AA in a carry case, or 4 x aaa900mah for £3.99 post free at mo.

You're not comparing apples for apples here. What is actually being offered is a fast charger & 4 2050mA (NiMh) Nickel Metal Hydrate batteries for £9.99.
What you have been sold is a slower charger & much lower capacity 800mA (Ni-Cads) Nickel Cadnium batteries which will struggle to power a Digital Camera for more that a couple of hours. Also we are aware that Ni-Cads suffer from memory effect if not fully discharged which Ni-Mh dont.
The deal definately isn't worth £44.99 or possibly even £29.99 but a tenner? :xmassmile0 -
