I brought one today but on the shelf it was marked at £9.99. Didn't say it had been reduced but it is a 1/2 hour battery charger so hope I got the right one.
I bought one from Newbury, Berkshire up on the retail park, still 5 left there, same as you the price was marked at £9.99, not showing in a sale but it looks to be the right one and is a heavty lump!

In Boots in they are selling a Duracell 30 Minute Battery Charger with 4AA NiMH batteries rated at 2050mAh for just £9.99. The model number is CEF90KTN. It isn't on their website.

This model can be used to charge up to four AA or AAA batteries at any one time, and does seem to charge very quickly. I tested it last night and the batteries were charged within the 30 minutes claimed.

I can't prove this is a bargain because no-one else seems to sell this particular model online, but at Argos they are selling a Duracell 1-hour charger which costs £34.99 (but with slightly longer life batteries). Some people must think this is a bargain though because they have been selling on Ebay for £20+postage in the past few days, with a claimed RRP of £44.99.

It's possible that this is an obsolete model that Boots are clearing out, or it could be a completely new model that they have mispriced. Either way Grab Them While You Can. :D

Sorry - my fault for not searching for this before posting! I was in the Boots branch in Oxford on the ring road next to Tesco and Mothercare. They had about 4 left if anyone wants to grab one.

  • Just picked up another couple of chargers from Boots in Milton Keynes Kingston. Was amazed there were even any still about until biglugs mentioned. Many thanks as a couple of pensioners will be very pleased with these to use with the Garmin i3.
