Any make of rechargeable battery, yes.
Best if they are labelled as quick charge but not essential.

  • Having found them hidden behind the photographic counter in one store, I have had a look in a couple of others where I thought they had no stock. They were in the same place in both.

So if you cannot find any out on the shelves, head towards the photographic counter.

Hi just wondering if anyone may have seen one of these in a store in Cornwall, or are they just in the larger stores?
  • For anyone looking for an excellent general site for batteries, I can highly recommend www.battery-force.co.uk. Not only do they appear to have an excellent range of products at highly competive prices, but they reply to emails, answer the phone and send stuff as quickly as you could wish - I ordered something yesterday morning, and phone up mid-afternoon to alter the order but was alraedy too late - arrived first thing this morning.

And no, I'm not on a retainer!
  • Seeing as people are saying this is a poor recharger could someone recommed me a good AAA (AA also would be a bonus) that will recharge the battery for hours? Its for my Medion mp3 player so it needs a good few hours¬!

I've got a charger that is the same as the one in the 7 dayshop from Maplin(Vanson V1000). It takes about 2 hours to charge 2AA 2500mAh batteries, and comes with a car charger which is handy, but is not dual voltage.

Looking on the duracell website the charger(CEF90KTN) uses a combination of voltage, temperature and time to check the batteries, this doesn't seem any different from the Vanson one except the duracell one can charge them in 30 minutes because it also has a built in fan, and it is dual voltage(100-240v) so you can use it in the States, but no car charger.

tHESE ARE PRICED UP AT £29-99 IN BRADFORD ON CANAL ROAD

When scanned come up at £9-99

They had about 20 in !!!! ( at 11-00 today)

I went in to Boots in Brighton yesterday, wondering if they would have any left, and there were loads, "hidden" by the upper floor checkout, rather than in the battery charger section (where the man in charge evidently either didn't know about them, or wasn't letting on!)
Many thanks to whoever posted this just when I needed it most - daughter had a digital camera for Xmas and has got through 3 lots of batteries already...
it says it does AAA batteries too, but i did have to buy a pack (another £9.99) as the four included were AAs. Hope it works.
  • Thanks to who posted got 2 in Falkirk Retail Park priced at £29.99 each but checked price and scanning at £9.99 each

Saw them in a special display thing in Slough on saturday. Lots there and the price on the display had a big paper sticker over it with £9.99 written in red pen. But.....

These things are heavy! I was thinking of getting one to take travelling as my current one is only 240V - but this weighs about a kilo!
