Thankfully I threw my application form in the bin after reading so many complaints about this account.
  • I must admit that opening a Tesco Internet Saver account has been a nightmare from the start. The whole thing is over complicated and their efficiency is minimal. I'm now nearly up and running after several weeks but the service is very poor. I'll give it a bit longer but I can see myself closing the account and going elsewhere if things don't improve.

  • I am withdrawing from West Brom and wanting to move ££ into Tesco Internet Saver - I was about to write a cheque and find you can only send the initial cheque to open the account - I have tried ringing the help line only to listen to a load of blurb and then to be told the department is not open and be cut off - so I was wondering if anyone knows of the best way to move money - CHAPS is my first thought but Tesco Finances seems a shambles so I wanted someone to tell me of their experiences.

    Many thanks
  • Another Tesco signup sufferer here.

3 weeks since they said the account is "open" and gave me 14 days to cancel it, but they still haven't done what they need to for me to access it; I've asked twice for the form to provide yet another signature confirmation (printer not working).

It's misleadingly long, confusing and contradictory. And still not worked after at least a month.

And you couldn't even logon if you were able, as it was down earlier today.

Same situation here, sent cheque on the 5th November, got the 'account opened' letter on the 15th with Acc and Sort Code, but nothing since........ cheque has not been cashed and still no registration code nor welcome pack so cant log on! Tried calling them on 0800 783 31 88 but no one answers!

Just wasnt worth the points :( So at the moment I have £5k sat in my current account earning next to nothing while I wait for Tesco to get their finger out - great.

ive applied to open an account just because of the excellent rate. but im only gonna open it with £10 and will have another savings account where the rest of my money will stay. as it seems to be a mess interms of it getting up and running ill only move a large amount across when and if its running ok

Wish I'd done this. Seems some have had smaller cheques go through more easily and yes its a great rate - just doesnt fill you with much confidence in them does it.

i too have had problems with tesco internet saver had to call them again as still no pin (last time card a pin arrived and no card, so they told me theyd cancel the card and send a new pin and card)basically yet again have been told to wait or call back tomorrow (in working hours which is very difficult to do) i started the application process with this account on 14th october and i am still experiencing problems.

i requested the pin/card/reader etc on 7th november and still have not got all the components needed, i called to see if they can send a duplicate pin out for the card as the pin they claim to have sent has still not been received and guess what, they cant do that without cancelling the card!!!! so i have been told to ring them tomorrow and someone may be able to help me, but the only choice i seem to have is to either wait and see if this new pin is ever sent out, or request yet again a new card/pin etc (and whats the betting if i did that yet again i will not receive one all the other)

funny they couldnt answer why the paper/online initial application process form asks for your account details for payments, yet they take no notice of this and they have to be set up online still which requires this damned pin and card

i am going to see if i can call them from work tomorrow and if i dont get a satisfactory answer, i am going to ask them to register an official complaint
