Hopefully, you're still sparkling and ready to join back in with the madness :D

:D Don't you just know it.

Hopefully some of my happy vibes will rub off on the people that are down on the dumps on here today. Mondays are horrible, especially if like me, you get into work when it's still dark in the morning and you leave when it's pitch black at night.

The only thought that consoles me on a Monday morning as I'm brushing my teeth is that the weekend is on the way again. :)

I'm sending parcels of sparkles and oodles of fabulousness to everyone that needs them!

And MrsAudus2b - we've stayed in etaps for our football trips a few times. They're basic but clean and you get to fight over who goes in the bunk bed! :D

They're all worth doing if you've got a bit of time, but Toluna takes AGES to earn a £10 voucher. If you're pushed for time, don't bother with this one.

Valued Opinions, Globaltestmarket and Lightspeed (which is missing from my sig... hmmm, will have to amend that) are definitely the best ones to do in my experience :)
  • evening all - best wishes to those who need them xx

    • spent nothing :money:
    • ate my beef/squash/red wine stew that i did in the slow cooker last night, was like boeuf bourgignon (think my french is letting me down tonight, that's a tough one though!!), those old stylers rock! :T
    • got a 4 quid refund for an oyster card fare (so a negative spend day?!)

Evening all. Busy day at work today so didn't have much time to sneak on the net.

    Today I:

    1) brought brekkie and lunch in to work (homemade bread sandwiches).
    2) Went to the bank and deposited my leftover cash from the weekend so I didn't fritter it away.
    3) Transfered £100 of the above cash to my debt.
    4) Chased my landlord for the gas/water bills while I have some spare cash!
    5) Made pasta lunch for work tomorrow.
    6) Checked online banking.
    7) Updated signature. Very motivating. :)

    Have a good one!
  • HMMMMMMM - time for a grump

Rang my oil folk and turns out this house does indeed use about £60 a week in oil, with the heating on for 1 hour in am and 5 hours at night 4-9pm.

Making the oil spend for a year at the current cost - yeah wait for it 5000l a year at 60p/ltr - £3k - for heating thats well adequate but the house is by no means toasty.

So 2 open fires are now on all the time, heating in now off timer and now and using it just to boost when the house reaches its worst coldness

Have lodger now which means serving him up brekkie in a duvet isnt really great
    any ideas?

Had a look at those plug in fan, radiator things that look like woodburners - anyone used them 1kw ?
    moan over!!
