Then you build things up.
Thread here it is VERY long but she is on it a lot - she is v friendly if you join the forums and ask for her

the problem I have is because of the, well I don't call it a disability
, but the 'thing' I have following the damage to my spinal cord. I don't have any sensation below the knee on my left leg - at all - and when it was first damaged my foot used to 'hang' because the messages from my brain to leg got cut off.
Anyway, it took me a few years to get to where I am now, and I'm still getting a tiny bit better as the years go by. I can walk around a mile or so and then the toes in my foot start to stop working and my foot starts to drop a bit. I did try a slooooooooooow jog a few years ago after lsoing nearly 5 stone (all back on now - plus some more - ahem), but the action of picking my foot up 'quicker' makes it more likely to drop a bit/scuff when it goes back on the floor, so the ankle goes and I fall over
It's the same reason I can't wear heels, mules, backless shoes or slippers of any kind, or use the ski-ing cross trainer thing because my toes don't do the 'gripping' action as the foot lifts.
It's the bane of a 'shoe girls' life.....I have some fab heels from 2000/2001 I can't bear to throw away....
I've started reading- and even the first page is a bit scary! :rotfl:
