Morning all
Horrible here today, wet and dark and I was out with Charlie at 6.30, so needed a torch to see where I was going ! Listening to the weather forecast this morning and they have given out snow for the end of the week
Work today, so something warm, soup in the flask or something like that, nd dinner is left over chicken with pasta.
They have just said on GMTV that it is only 38 days till Christmas  Oh well, I am ready this year (for a change).
Watched Celebrity last night, and maybe it was the way it was edited, but Kilroy Silk came across as a real male chauvinist. Joe Swash was so funny, I know it's rubbish, but I just can't help watching
Catch you all later xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Happy birthday Sistercas! Morning all.
Got up put a wash on, just about to feed the baby who is lovely and giggly this morning. Mother in law is driving down today - we are going to sing and sign together and may go to Oxford Street to see OH. Ladygrim good luck with OH home today - mine was in only yesterday evening and talk about getting under my feet!0 -
Morning all
Happy birthday Sistercas :bdaycake:
Early start for me today. Once a fortnight at work we have a very busy Monday so it's been decided I will work a full day. Good for the purse but am really not awake.
I wish we had an immersion Sunnyday, we have only had lukewarm or cold water all weekend, its a combi boiler, heating has worked thoughOH will ring agents today, hope they can sort it out quickly as I did not enjoy my shower this morning!
DW emptied and kitchen all nice and sparkly incase they come into to repair boiler while I am out, must remember to shut the rest of the doors though
Made some fairy cakes and Aunt Sally's apple cake this weekend, 1 cake and 1 portion of apple cake left, so guess they went down well.
Not sure what's for tea tonight yet, don't know if OH is home, if he is I think it will be Tuna fishcakes, made some the other week and froze some. If it's just me will ferret about in the freezer and find a one-portion-left-over.
Have a good day xxxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Aussie, sounds like you & Sunnyday are in competition for who can do the most, lol - is the gingernuts recipe easy? I love gingernuts. And jamaica ginger cake (is there a recipe for that anywhere?)
Bargainbird, what a tiring night. Think you need to put your feet up at some point & have a kip!
38 days to Christmas - eek!!!!!!  Really must get my act together .
Just in Uni for a couple of hours this afternoon, so dinner will be something quick & simple when I get home, burgers in buns perhaps. Think I will do some banana bread this morning & also put the BM on for granary dough that can be baked as rolls when I get home too.

On a days leave today, taking OH to hospital for a MRI scan. We were supposed to be seeing the Neurosurgeon as well but ehy rang on friday to say the MRI scan wouldn't have made to the surgeon in time for the appointment, so thats been postponed until next Monday.
Not much in the way of OSing apart from the a beef stew going in the slow cooker. I managed to get most of the housework done yesterday, so I'm hoping for a quiet day.0 -

Miolere - hope today goes OK for you.
Frosty start here today, not a problem for me as in the office this morning. Really want to whizz through my to do list and get out of here. Need to pop to Morrisons later for a couple of bits for this weeks menu plan and packed lunches.
Treat myslelf to the new Thrift Book by India Knight (I think) its good so far, has already mentioned this site and a few I hadnt heard of before. Was half price on Amazon and will share it around my family when I have finished it.
OS today - will make some more muffins later and possible a carrot cake. Leftover chicken will be turned into chicken rice for dinner tonight.
Have a great day.

Aussie, that looks terrible, but at least you get some Summer to compensate
Forgot to say that I went to a Christmas Fayre on Saturday, and got a suede jacket that looks like it's bever been worn, for 50p. I will wear it today for work, but the question is, if anyone asks where I got it from, do I confess :rolleyes:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Happy birthday sistercas - hope the gods are good to you today! :bdaycake:
Been up since 0600, baby insisted he was getting up, early for him as he's not usually awake 'til 7. Got decorator coming to start DS bedroom, so spent weekend gutting the room. Need to photocopy some stuff to put up ads for new childminding venture - got no customers yet - & have some stitching work from the magazine to start. Plus...need to bake, wash, iron, sort out tea & rest of week's menus...crikey, feel tired already!!
Have a good start to the week, everyone, & will see you later. Hugs & kisses all round! :grouphug:July 2024 GC £0.00/£400
