And one for the group. Cardiff has to go fancy dress next Saturday. The theme is "Inspired by the Musicals". You don't necessarily have to go as a particular character from a particular film but could go as a whole film if you wanted. The only stipulation is I've got to get to Llanishen on the train in the outfit.

    Any ideas?

A sailor in a white outfit...South Pacific or that film where they troll round New York.

Tux and a mask - Phantom (was it a tux?)

West Side Story - Jet or Shark...

Tux - Rocky Horror Show as a Transylvanian at the party...you need shades and a party hat, too.

Very proud to see I've not seen evne High School Musical 1... let alone 7, or whatever they're up to now!

T-birds is actually a v inspired plan - esp as one of my mates bears a passing resemblance (in the right light, with a head wind) to John Travolta... never mind making it off the train, I suspect we wouldn't get across Mermaid Quay unmolested!

So.. if I'm not needed at work tomorrow, looks like I'm off to Hobos (wonderful second hand shop in one of the Victorian arcades) looking for Grease outfits for ten. This is gonna do wonders for my reputation!

Do you think they'd stitch "pigpen's boys" into the T shirts if I asked nicely???!

    The P-birds... lol... YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

And who is averse to a little friendly molestation between bars?

plain white t-shirts... tesco value specials?
Jeans.. we ALL own at least 1 pair of plain blue jeans!
Black leather jacket? ... and.. you can stencil on them with poster paint.. you'll be fine so long as it doesn't rain!! .. beg.. borrow and if necessary.. steal!

Hair wax... it sticks it solid!

Don't forget the comb and the shades.. and we want a photo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good evening, all!

I'm sort-of in..........all my saucepans are in the hall, the kitchen tools are in one Bag for Life and the herb jars & packets from the wire rack that hangs on the inside of one of the cupboard drawers are in another BFL.
The drawer units and all the cupboard doors are in the dining room and the kitchen itself looks such a mess..........you can see into all the cupboards   and, trust me, its not a good thing!

SarahS, Lady-Liberty, Gryfon and all other poorly ones - *hugs*

I'm tired out after today's efforts and am going to have a cup of tea and go to bed. Will post my (modified) list tomorrow.

Hugs to all, and to all a good night!!

Ok I'm in I have had a bit of a heart to heart with my DH and have decided that I am working far too hard (leave home at 7.15 get back at 6.15 THEN WORK SEVERAL HOURS IN THE EVENING)

I have been to the library and got some books to read so I have a purpose to stopping work earlier!! And I am going to make sure I do my list each day...

Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
