juliejim...I'd use the old one, just check that nothing has got in there. I tend to put all my flour into glass jars with a tight lid on so I never know what date it is!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I think I peaked for today. Had a bath, stripped my bed and put the bedding in the washing machine, emptied the dishwasher, did a bit of hand washing up, S&Sd and that was it! I had to go and lie down on the settee for a bit which I did and promptly fell asleep. I now have a beautiful cough developing.

Just waiting for some clothes to dry and then I'm off upstairs for a shower and to pack for tonight. All downstairs is looking ok except DH's desk and I'm not going near that!
Main bedroom and ensuite tidy and clean. so any left over time can be used sorting my craft stuff, christmas bits etc.,
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • vivw have a great time tonight - you have earned it today!

    Afternoon everyone.

Was after nine when I got up and then by the time I had my breakfast it was getting on. Have been out and done the shopping its freezing out there. We had a layer of snow this morning which has gone now but more is coming the sky is full.

Just got a picture txt from youngest GS who is up in the hills beating. Loads of snow up there and he said it was ........ freezing.

Have put broth to cook in slow cooker then will freeze it later.
Later making Chicken Korma out of JOs book.

Bought new battery for smoke alarm so will put that in.

Hoover living room tidy and dust.
    S&S kitchen and bathroom
I WM load done need to hang it on clothes horse.
    Put dry washing away.

hollyh Oh no not again. Hope he got home ok.

Soappie good to hear you are a wee bit better but still take care of yourself and keep warm.

TAG hope the delegating is going well.
  • DH and DS have just gone off to the tip (It's OK, they know the way!:p) with the manky old carpet, some cardboard and the skirting board. We now have now skirting in the lounge, dining room or soon-to-be study. It had been painted so many times and had a useless phone cable "glued" to it. The more we do, the more we find. It looks like the vendors just did a quick cosmetic job to sell, but we still think we got a good deal. We're stripping everything back to the plaster so we can check everything but the walls seem pretty good, fortunately. There were umpteen layers of paper and paint on every wall so the whole house is inches bigger all round!:rotfl:

DH looked round the lounge and said "We'll have this all done by Christmas!" I said we could have the painting done, but would still have the laminate and skirting to do (we'll replace the doors eventually) and he said "We'll see!" I don't know if he as cunning plan, but he's not sharing it.

Off to damp sweep the lounge. x

Does Mr Tag know the way to the tip, don't want him going awol, like the other bloke who has done it twice, in the last 2 weekends

Mmmm, well that is a debatable question.

The last time Mr Tag went on his own he disappeared for over two hours:rolleyes: He was supposed to get rid of a TV unit.

The following morning I went out our back gate to find the said unit 'sitting there' So he'd loaded it into his car via our front door. Drove round the back and unloaded it and bogged off to the bookies for a couple of hours. Mind you that evening it did grow legs and walk somewhere  so we did get rid of it.

If he even dares to think of doing such a thing today then I shall be contacting a solicitor on Monday morning re a divorce. And no I am not joking.

So he has been gone nearly an hour already. We wait and we see.;)
