  • :T Toots, that is such good news! May this Christmas be very merry, with many more to come!!!

Carol, sending you hugs and hope you are feeling a bit better.

Johanne, is there no-one who would be prepared to supervise your driving practice? I failed my test miserably first time round and was devastated....I really needed to be able to drive as my then boyfriend spent at least two weeks out of four in the USA or Singapore/HK and I was completely marooned without a car (lousy public transport). I was 32 when I took my test - I'd lived in London since Uni and had no need of a car until we moved out to the sticks - and I had 35 lessons in all. I was lucky enough to have friends who would supervise me when BF was abroad and I had bought an elderly Fiat Uno so from the September when I failed, until the following July when I passed, I drove EVERYWHERE at every opportunity and in every kind of weather. I then had some refresher lessons with my instructor to correct any bad habits I had picked up and almost kissed the examiner when he said I'd passed! I've been driving now for 20 years.

Poohbear - sounds like your friend is feeling guilty and has turned it all back on you. Not nice! Hope you are feeling better (I love lavender in my bath - sooo relaxing!). Pigpen and PinkFairy - nice line in curses :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I rather like this one - May she be afflicted with the itch and have no nails to scratch with!

Soappie - hope you are feeling a little better - 'flu is awful (only had the "real deal" twice and never want it again). Keep warm - hugs!!!

Greenbee - yes, there is definitely something going round - DH was really poorly a couple of weeks back and is only just right now and he's not one to go down with man-flu. I've had rotten sinusitis for what seems like an eternity (actually about 2 weeks). Still....we soldier on!

Went and looked at worksurfaces in my lunchbreak and have narrowed it down to four possibles  ! Will have to drag DH down there to have a look tomorrow.

Will also have to go into work tomorrow, because I need to catch up on all the stuff that didn't get done today because the BT IT Support Guy and I were STILL trying to kill the virus.

The good news is..............RIP Virus :T Yay.....all kudos to Ronnie the lovely Scots IT guy, Michael who worked on it last night and the BT crew in Dundee who emailed Ronnie a suggested plan which worked!!!!:j Sounds like I had most of Scotland working on the problem :D

So any FLYing is going to be tomorrow afternoon.

OK, I'm going to bed now..........hugs to anyone I've missed, and hugs to everyone anyway.

not psychic tonight.. but you didn't reply to my text.. ignorant moose! :p

I asked if your house had collapsed yet & if you had a kitchen.. and you ignored me the other day when I said if you want to bring some of your stinky skimpies to be washed I can do 4 loads in just over an hour.. depends on whether you can get it dry though.. but the offer is there and cheaper than the laundrette

I am k-nackard and offski to my nesty-noo in a mo... I have done no wahsing all week so my house is disappearing!

The pinks are nigh on hysterical about their party on Sunday.. Moom thinks it is not her birthday until Sunday because that is when her party is.. Peaches is a loon.. I got a fab pic of her earlier trying to sneak up and steal my food!

And.. would you believe.. a grandma from school told me I look like a student today!! ROFL.. I don't even have my tongue or my nose pierced or my hair an un-natural colour.. how cheeky was that?!!
