I'll do my 'five things' bit now......at first I thought oh no I can't find five things....then all those positive mental attitude books flooded back in and I thought actually, I can probs think of 100....but then I thought I can't put that many cause they'll all think I'm a right big head (I agree whoever said that earlier) conditioning you see, it's not good is it, so here goes (but not 100) :D

    Great wife
    great Mother
    very loving
    caring
    hard worker
    diligent
    good time keeper
    good lover ;)
    good weight trainer
can handle a household all by myself
    I can sing
    I can play instruments
    I'm a good cleaner
    easy going
    thoughtful
    positive (mostly)
    encouraging
    efficient
    good cook (when I want)
    helpful

  • Awwwww, Johanne, that's so sweet - we've got one like that of youngest grandson taken last Christmas. He'd been playing around on the electronic piano and all of a sudden, he simply flumphed over on to the keyboard!

Valli, thanks so much for posting that........made me well up *snif*! LIke Flower, my best friend (my cousin Chrissie) is miles away - we do try to support each other on the phone and I hope that one day, DH and I will be able to move closer to her and her DH - they are good friends!. Another dear friend moved miles away and, sadly, died of breast cancer earlier this year. Coming here is like being able to have coffee with a great bunch of friends and I am so glad that this thread exists - hugs to you all!

OrkneyStar - thank you for your list - made me stop and think......it is very easy when things are hard and the "black dog" is sitting on your shoulder, to think that you are cr*p at everything and that nothing you do is any good - been there, done that....partly the menopause, partly difficult times at work. Coming here makes me realise that I'm not alone, that there are people out there dealing with way more difficult situations than I am. Also, how wonderful it is to belong to a network of people so willing to care about folk that they may never meet. Thanks, flyfriends! :grouphug:

Flower - that's great news about the tax rebate :j !!!!!

OddjobKIA - sending best wishes and positive vibes for your 2nd interview!!!

Lady-Liberty - I know it's not much consolation, but at least you have a date now and those couple of weeks will pass quickly. Easy for me to say, but try not to worry - will keep you in my thoughts, hun!

At work, still trying to kill the AntivirusPro2009 virus:mad:   . Will catch up with my list later!
Obedient women are never remembered in History!

November Grocery Challenge: 03/11/10 Spent £77.84:)
    10/11/10 Spent £84.95 17/11/10 Spent £79.63 24/11/10 Spent £75.39 :j
December Grocery Challenge 30/11/10 Spent £32 Clubcard Vouchers and £79.15 Cash. 08/12/10 Spent £77.73 Cash and £127.50 Clubcard Vouchers - Christmas is now sorted!!! :snow_grin

PLEASE NOTE NICKI: IF WE ARE SEEING EACH OTHER IN PUBLIC ANY TIME OVER NEXT FEW MONTHS CONSULATION OF OUR CHOICE OF COATS BEING WORN MUST BE MADE VIA TEXT PRIOR TO LEAVING THE HOUSE...... COS ITS THE SAME ONE YOU BOUGHT :p:p:p :rotfl:

(Yes I vaxxed the carpets and yes my back is now very very very very very sore!)

I've got a Vax carpet shampooer and avoid using it like the plague. Emptying the bottom out, refilling the tank - all gets a bit much. And it doesn't actually shampoo very well anyway.

Hope your back is better soon though, and don't do it again :rotfl::naughty:

Those struggling to find things about themselves, are any of these true to you ?
    1. you can sing I like singing, but whether or not I'm in tune I don't know!
    2. you are musical Can't read a note
    3. you can sew or knit After a fashion. I enjoy sewing when I get a chance, but knitting is sooooooo boring!
    4. you are a good listener I try to be
    5. you encourage people Yes
    6. you are a good organiser Hmmm?
    7. you are dealing with your debts/you are good with money We don't have any debts (but we would if DH dealt with the finances) and I do try to keep a check on any spending
    8. you make people smile
    9. you have lost weight I've probably lost my entire body weight a number of times over the years in total. I could do with losing at least a stone, but I'm not even going to try if it involves starving myself and doing exercise just to keep it off.
    10. you have overcome illness
    11. you are laid back
    12. your children are wonderful human beings, largely due to you I'm trying to make sure they grow up to be decent people.
    13. you are generous I think so
    14. you know when to quit and when to fight. I don't like confrontation or arguments
    15. you can cook or bake brilliantly. Nobody's died yet! :rotfl:
    16. you give love to everyone you know.
    Need I go on.....

Glad some of you found the list helpful- of course its not exhaustive- there are loads more things that make us wonderful people!
And just for the record, I certainly CANNOT profess to being all the things I thought of on that list lol (my five are on a different post). Funny I put singing on first yet cannot hold a note and have been accused of being tone deaf!! Oh well :o. I'd love to be able to sing properly- it never stops me at Church, just feel sorry for those around me lol.
I am off to rest now, take care all and catch you tomorrow.
