    junior-senior...lol m8

You're making me laugh for all the wrong reasons.

Now just put that handbag down and walk back the 40 paces and pick up your toys underneath your pram on the way back.
  • I wasn't going to rise to the bait but have decided to reply just this once. Firstly he is a she. Secondly, I didn't order the camera my parents ordered it for me as a 21st birthday present, it being their money and their account she did the talking I just happened to be there, thirdly I only live with them in the holidays from university. I will not give you my order number as it is my parents, so its not mine to give. If you don't believe me thats absolutely fine, may I suggest that instead of slating me in the forum that you actually take the deal that Apple are offering you (as your obviously cannot expect to get anything better as you think that I am lying). I only posted that my parents managed to get the camera at that price so that others might be able to negotiate the same deal, a deal that I have been trying to help mostwantd get as she has been nothing but lovely in her personal messages.

    Well done chocshake.

Considering all the snide comments and abuse going around - a very dignified response. Lets hope some others on here can learn from and emulate you a bit.

  • Hello

First time post so please no flaming.

I don't like the tone of the last few mails on this group but I feel I should offer my bit.

I ordered a Nikon 5200 as a present for my technophobic mother in law. It seemed to be a good first digital camera from reviews.
I bought a case and SD card from a different supplier and then received a delayed delivery email and then the Olympus cancellation email from Apple. I phoned them and was told the problem was only with Olympus orders and my camera would be dispatched on 11/1/06 as emails had indicated. Less than 24 hours later I received the cancellation email.

I phoned again, calmly and politely explained events to a supervisor who offered me £40 to compensate for the case (£15) and SD card (£25) that I had bought. I felt that this was generous and would have accepted but that I was diappointed not to get the camera as it was intended for a present. I was then offered the Nikon 5600 £149 deal for £89. I readily accepted this and the camera (and free 256MB SD card) arrived today.

I have found Apple to be exemplary in their customer service. They clearly made a technical error but for me they have acted very generously and I remain a loyal customer.

Just my thoughts. I realise others have had a different experience.

    Regards

    willubby

Junior, you are behaving appallingly - it's to everyone else's credit that they haven't sunk to your depths of abuse.

The funny thing is, nowhere on this thread does junior advise that they have in fact been offered anything, and to be honest, I am hardly surprised.

Any monies or discounts offered by Apple are goodwill gestures and having failed to be offered any recompense to date, I doubt any Floor Manager, (the correct name for the CS Supervisors ;)), worth his/her salt is likely to budge this late in the day. :)
