Well if yours has been cancelled COMPLAIN. Have they told you it has been cancelled?? Call them you have done nothing wrong in getting 20% off. I'm getting a call back tomorrow as mine was for a pressie (i'm very unpopular now as I can't find any anywhere and I promised my lil cousin one- I cancelled an order with pcw as I was told I would get mine so very :'(

As I understand it, the PS_Two shortage has been caused by a faulty batch of lasers that have been burning out very quickly.
I read this on a forum discussing the new "tape" mod for disk swapping (mod chips are no longer required on the new slimline model). It was initialy thought that doing the "tape mod" was causing the lasers to burn out, but plenty of non modified ones have burnt out now, disproving that initial theory.

My son's PS2 has just arrived today, ordered from Boots on 11 November, however, their website shows that his order is still being processed and delivery will be on 23 November. There may still be some left somewhere in the depths of Boots.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr rattling lots of cages at Boots today. My order has disappeared into thin air!! Ordered 11/11 paid for delivery 13/11. They are checking the warehouse - so not looking too good at the moment.

My Hubby works for Game (who apparently have a deal with Sony where they will be restocked first) and the stores have been told first week in December.

Just got off the phone to my local game and was told they recieved the same letter from sony but hope to be restocked by early december. But he said december at the EARLIEST >:( ........ so they are not guarantying anything which is quite poor in my opinion as many people like me have put down a deposit and if it wasnt for me phoning them i dont think they will have bothered to phone me!!! so the original date of 1 week after deposit doesnt look promising .... Just a suggestion on the Slimline PS2 front. Try a small blockbuster's on a Sunday when there's only one person in the store who generally doesn't have a clue.

Last weekend we picked up a Slimline PS2, with extra Playstation branded controller (in addition to the PS2), and crappy game. Blockbuster were doing a deal on the old style PS2 (£99.99 for the lot). My partner queried the deal on the new PS2 and they gave it to him.

Thing is, she was all alone, and ther was no manager to ask....so she just said yes. ::)
