Hi

The reason for the basic bank account is that you may well have other debts that are associated with your existing bank? If you pay in your income and they realise that you have a loan and are going on a DMP, the bank will take your entire income to off-set your loan debt. Happens all the time.

Until Payplan see the details, they cannot tell if this will happen and it is best to get the basic bank account set up quickly.

Hi,

We have been with Payplan for over a year now, and I cannot fault them. Going on a DMP with them has changed our lives for the better, and I can say the same for this site. Good luck and keep posting

i've been with payplan for 4 months have found them very curtious and helpful you must expect to wait for a certain amount of time on phone calls with the ecomiomic climate as it is so many people are unfortunately now in trouble :eek:

When you say many people are in trouble, which people you mean please describe. I have paid private company this month instalment which should cover me for this month payments. However, as per lady I spoken to last two occasions, who took my all details and also income expendature details told me that a case officer will now ring me to give reference number of my case and also set arrangements for payments settings. That was this Wednesday 11th March 09, till now nobody rang as she confirmed that this may take up to seven days.

Do you have an idea, how long it will be??? Meantime i have posted letters to my creditors with this infoamtion.

paid to DFH until this month, but now I am dealing with payplan, so cancelled standing order with that private company who kept robbing me since OCT 2008......
