  • Also - I've had a quick look at my budget for Dec-Jan and it's very small.... therefore I don't think I'll be able to make any big overpayments this month still... I will aim to not go into my reserve though (yesterday was £200 into it due to the Pay Day Loan Cheques coming out!) I have another £250 of Pay Day Loan Cheques coming these next days and that's the end of them (No new ones these were one's I took out in November)

Ugh wish I was in bed :(

  • Morning Elizabeth!!!

Hope you are feeling better?:D There is soo much of it doing the rounds - again! My OH woke up this morning with a bunged up nose and scratchy throat. I'm just hoping it was because he left the thermostat up too high last night and dried out a bit!!

Well done you for no more Payday Loans!!! As you say, this last payment to make and they are gone!!! And gone for good too!:j

Don't forget that not overspending is just as important as overpaying debts! Don't stretch yourself too far - just do what you can!!!

Have a great day and hope you feel better!!!

hi, sorry haven't popped in for so long. Well done on achieving so much progress, you've taken major steps and if you can just get through the next couple of sticky months you'll be so much better off.
Sorry to hear about the cold, i'm fighting one as i don't want it before christmas (or at any time really) and don't feel right, but i hope you recover soon.

Excellent progress so far! What a difference a few weeks can make!

Sorry you have not been feeling well. Don't worry about big overpayments for the next month or so - staying within your limits is more important to avoid the need for charges or payday loans. The overpayments will follow once you are on top of the other things.

  • Well I'm alone on a Friday Night rather then going out and spending any money so instead I've logged straight onto the thread

Got some things to sort tonight - will do a new workout of my debt... though to be honest it won't be much less (Still haven't got Abbey Card Statement though I've had two off House of Fraser  ) and need to have a look at my money for the month at some point as well... I've had a sneak preview and I think the outcome of that is if I want to make my target of not going into my reserve and paying off my £60 vanquis I'm going to have work ruddy hard :o

I can do that though.. I mean I'm starting off the year with a week in France, I've caught up with lots of my friends over Christmas time... I can try and work every weekend at my bar if they're open and I will have £70 from my paypal to transfer from Quidco and lightspeed surveys..

(grr just got interrupted by someone trying to sell me mobile phones!?)

I think realistically I need some more targets to stay on the straight and narrow something more to aim towards this month so I think aiming to top that paypal up by £30 by selling stuff on ebay can be a start. Also trying to speak to Orange about going on a lower tarriff - they can say no but it's worth asking :rotfl: :rotfl:

Once I've worked out my money I can set myself a budget for the weeks as well... I'm thinking something like £10 a week to include everything...! I can have a lot of fun with that amount of money.

Hopefully I'll get some lovely new things at Christmas that I'll have to play with to avoid spending money anyhow ;)

Oh I got my list of charges from Abbey Card today £669 which I'm hoping to send the letter to claim these back on Monday

Still waiting for a reply about my PPI Claim I think they have 8 weeks to reply so I'm not holding my breath on that one... but fingers crossed still!! :T

Right I'm going to make some store cupboard dinner tonight and see what's on filmfour... I suppose I should get some tidying done as well :(

Well if I've made a good progress in a few weeks then I'm thinking that one more month of sorting and I'll be ready to start making those big debt payments that feel so good

  • Hiya sorry to hear you have been poorly, it really is doing the rounds at the moment. Well done on paying off the CT arrears and soon you'll have no more pay day loans thats great. I am going to wait until i know if i have this new job and how much i will be getting before i try and get back on track.
  • Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well... I've just had it and it was horrible! You've probably already been told this but take in lots of fluid and keep yourself and the house warm (but not too warm). I took 1000mg of Vit C for 2 days (ok so it gave me a funny tumy but hey it worked!) :D
