If you are anxious, and especially if this is leading to other problems like drinking and debt, then have you got any sort of proper help with this?

Good news about not taking out any more payday loans though - the first big step!!

I've just read through your diary and it seems you've come a long way in the last month. Truly impressive. And with the lovely Hypno on your case you're bound to do well.

Have you completely paid off the CT arrears now? And how many more monthly payments to Payday loans before they're paid off? Don't forget that if you pay CT in 10 monthly instalments Feb and March are no pay months so you can use the money to pay off something else. Perhaps Vanquis as that is your highest interest rated debt I think?

Anyway well done on coming so far so quickly and getting in control. I'll look out for your diary to see how you're doing.

Well the Doctors are always trying to get me on anti depressants for their sedative effect but I didn't think that was the right route for me... I've come a long way in the past year working through it... to be honest the drink has made the problem worse in the long run (having drank in a social situation from about the age of 17, I hadn't actually developed my social skills without it if you understand!?) I've read a lot of self help books and am slowly getting there.. I just don't believe I will every get away from anxiety it's just part of who I am, but when I come across it these days I deal with it differently!! Knowing I'm annoying other people with it makes it worse as well... oh well I don't like to use it as an excuse - it is a genuine one, but I can handle it tonight.. just have to get myself into the right frame of mind!! Think I'll log on here whilst I'm getting ready and have a proper catch up to get me in a positive money saving mood :)

Afternoon, sorry to hear you are feeling a little anxious. You are doing so well though and should be really proud of yourself. You have come a long while in a short while.

No payday loans this month is a huge achievement and will get you out of that viscious circle.

Where is you do tonight anywhere nice?

Yes Hypno has been a true supporter :) Arrears are fully paid... just thinking about that makes me feel quite good about myself! I've just gone back on DD the first payment comes out the end of Dec to keep me up to date - I've got to look and find out whether it's giving me those 2 months or whether I'm paying less for a spread!! Vanquis is 100% gone by the end of this month, I'm waiting for my bill from them at the end of December and then will pay off in full... :D

Thanks so much! Just re reading my blog helps me, I haven't been online so much these last days and think I'm in the last week before payday blues mode! There's nothing I can do to save any money so I guess I need to be proud of what I've done and start planning what that pay day money is going to pay off first :D
Tonight is going to be a mixed bag - there's only about 10 people in my OH's company so they've been for a meal and drinking all afternoon, then I have to go meet them later on about 7ish! (Am leaving work in an hour to go home and get ready!) I'll feel a lot less anxious when I'm all dressed up I'm sure!! I always go through this cycle before a night out so I'll get over the nerves in a little bit... at least his boss will be paying for some of the drinks tonight... and when the free drinks stop... that's when I stop drinking!!

I just don't believe I will every get away from anxiety it's just part of who I am,

Ok, you need to stop feeding yourself the negative stuff. So, from now on, you have no need to think that anxiety is part of you. You have to believe that you will get away from it, that you can live your life without anxiety. Every time you say "this is who I am and part of me is anxious" you are giving yourself permission to remain anxious.

There are times, very rarely thankfully, when we need a high level of nerves, stress etc - all part of the fight or flight syndrome that I am sure you have read about in books etc, but UNNECESSARY ANXIETY has no part in your life.

  • Hey just checking in - Had the dreaded flu since Saturday and am just back with the world today... plus that I had 2 NSD's Negatives being that I have spent about £20 on lucozade, lemsips. ibuprofen etc.

Still feeling pretty rotten will attempt to get back into the swing of things once I can log into my bank I'll make a payment to make up for the ones I haven't been doing!!

    It's pay day!!! xx
