Thank you everyone for the nice comments.

melissa75 and jailhouseBabe thank you for the advice, I managed to cut a red piece of card with another hole the same and make it as an insert sort of thing, was quite nerve wracking LOL

Saveapenny, thank you very much that's just what I was needing - I'll do that bit tomorrow.

Saveapenny and rainmac, I made the love part. I just cut out each letter twice out of felt then sewed the 2 pieces together for each letter so it was double thickness with a blanket stitch. Then just tacked the letters together in places to make it a whole word rather than 4 letters. It's not very big so it didn't need stuffing but I guess a heart probably would need a little bit. I had to spray the letters with hairspray once done to stiffen them a bit.

Mary thanks, it's quite eyebrow raising. I was okay with the sewing part - the things I'm used to but the rest was all new and quite a bit worrying, I was in a bit of a state, I didn't know what else to put on the front and it took ages to decide and then I didn't know what to do about the inside. I'm quite worn out. LOL

Saint Chris, what a beautiful card, it's going to be loved.

I don't know how you all manage to do so many different cards all completely different and so lovely. I'm hoping when I do another one I enjoy it, I made some mistakes this time which will help for next time I'm sure.

    :T Great cards everyone :T

My DH has agreed to come to the GMex show in a couple of weeks - bribed by the thought of a meal in manchester ;):D
Has anyone been to any of these shows (stitch and creative crafts) ?.
If so, is the stuff any cheaper than you can get it normally, or are they a place just to get ideas ?. Thanks for any info you can give.

hi Skiergirl - I've been to several shows - mainly the Great Northern papercrafts show at Harrogate. They are brilliant but would suggest you check for prices for things you might buy before you go - its very easy to get carried away with all the lovely stuff there and end up paying more than you need to.

We always walk round for a bit before buying anything and check prices - have a bargain bin rifle for me ;)

Some stall holders get a bit funny about you taking pictures so suggest you ask first
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Soblivion - The card looks great. The stitched word is really effective. You will get the card making bug as soon as you make another and you wont be able to stop.

StChris - Fab card the photo is a really nice touch

ZLS - Hope you get everything back on track and get back to crafting soon. Take care.

Well everyone I have some good news to share. I am pregnant with my third baby. It is due at the end of july and I can't wait. Right must go and get the kids to bed so I can get some crafting done.

Soblivion - I think your card is fantastic - I've just googled 'valentine poems' & found this site & several others which you might find something useful on.

Zoey - Hope you get family things sorted & come back very soon.

Rainmac - Hope you cope ok with Mums expected tears just give her a big hug from us too - sometimes it's good to cry but can be hard to see.

Saint Chris - What a good idea - I'm sure BIL will be delighted with it.

Phunkles - Not had the email but I'd seen the appeal & usually send direct to 'do crafts'

Saveapenny - Sorry, no idea about where to get blanks but will keep my eyes open for you. Thanks for hearts pic - I've saved it too!

    Just here very quickly,

1st Congrats to AbusyBee hope all goes well for your pregnancy.

Thanks to all the nice messages they mean a lot to me right now. Right the reason I stopped by is, today I noticed in my co op that they are doing Fair trade choc in a pink card board wrapper. On the front is little pictures with messages on relating to chocolate. I have bought and eaten 2 bars today (OMG lol) and I have cut these pics out and am going to use them in a choc related card later.

The choc bars only cost 99p so makes for a nice treat, free card topper and you help other people too. (Hope this helps some one)

Soblivion - I am even more impressed now that you've said you made the letters - I thought you'd bought them.
Saint-Chris - gorgeous card, I love how you've decorated the card blank - it looks just like a posh photo frame
